Adobe Systems and Apple Announce the Video Publishing Solution for the
Desktop Video Market Select Power Macintosh 8500 Systems to Ship Bundled
with Adobe Premiere and After Effects Software; Customer Savings of More
Than $1,000

MACWORLD EXPO, San Francisco (January 9, 1996) -- Building on both
companies strengths in the area of video and image editing solutions,
Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq: ADBE) and Apple Computer, Inc. have
announced a limited edition of Power Macintosh 8500 systems which will
come bundled with Adobe Premiere and After Effects, currently two of the
leading performing video and special effects solutions available on the
market.

The "Apple and Adobe Video Publishing Solution" includes a native Power
Macintosh version of Adobe Premiere 4.2, Adobe After Effects 3.0 and a
Power Macintosh 8500 with 16MB of RAM, a 2GB hard drive and a quad speed
CD-ROM. This limited edition bundle is expected to have an estimated
street price starting at around $4,799--a savings of more than $1,000 if
purchased separately--and expected to become available on January 26,
1996.

Adobe After Effects is a high-quality compositing, 2D animation and special
effects program used by broadcast, film and multimedia professionals.
Adobe Premiere is a powerful digital video editing program that enables
users to easily combine video, audio, animation, still images and graphics
to create movies on the desktop for output to video or for multimedia
presentations.

The bundle promotion is expected to run from January 26, 1996 through March
