The Converter

There are three files in Convert.zip,
1 -	Converts.xls
2 -	Converts.xlm
3 -	Convert.txt ( this one obviously )

The two Excel files were created using Excel version 4. No one really cares
what was used to create this one, eventhough it was the toughest one to
produce. The macro sheet is used only by the buttons on the worksheet to
jump from one module to the other. It's recommended to open both Excel
files to work on the modules, though not necessary.

General information

This worksheet consists of three modules. The Voltage Drop calculator,
the Conduit Fill finder and the Unit Converter. These should come as
quite handy for electrical contractors and engineers. The first two
modules will be virtually of no use to those who are not involved in
the electrical industry. Following is a description on how to use each
module.

Please note that when using any of the modules, the only cells which should
receive input are the blue cells. The sheet is protected, however no
password is required to unprotect the document.
Any feedback (except for destructive criticism) will be greatly appreciated.

-----------------------------------------

Voltage Drop calculator
The module calculates the voltage drop for single phase and three phase
distribution systems. The user enters the the circuit amperage, the
distance in feet of the particular circuit and the size of wire that will
be used. Enter this information in the blue cells area. Once all three
variables have been entered, the bottom portion of the module displays the
proper voltage drop in volts and as a percentage of the total voltage for
a given system. The look-up tables for the module's calculations are
located to the right of the module.

------------------------------------------

Conduit Fill finder
The module calculates the size of conduit required, at either 100% fill
or the more commonly used 40% fill, for a given number of wires and sizes.
The module will accept a maximum of 7 different wire sizes. From my
experience in the electrical industry, this is more than enough.
The look-up tables for the module's calculations are located to the
right of the Voltage Drop module.

------------------------------------------

The Converter
This is a general use module and its operation is rather self-evident.

Enjoy
