Letter Writer is a small, ROUGH little thing I threw together to
serve as a shell for my brother in-law to play with. I thought
it was kind of cool, and might come in handy for someone, so I
uploaded it.

What it does, is store the text for some standard letters a person
might have, and let you personalize the text and create custom
letters.

It is easier to just go in and play with it, but basically you
have options on the main menu to add/edit customers (the people
to receive the letter) add/edit letters, add / edit misc tables
(employees - who the letter is from, and sign-offs {Sincerely,
Yours Truly, etc...}, write letters (more below), play solitaire
(we all get bored, right?) and quit.

The write letter option has a number of fields which must be
filled in:
TO: Who is the letter to (from customers table)
From: Who is the letter from (from employees table)
Signed: How do you want the letter signed (sincerely, etc...)
Letter: Which standard letter do you want to send
How to address: There are a number of options on how to address,
you can choose just first name, first name-lastname,Mr. Lastname,
Ms. Lastname, etc. This is kind of a neat thing cause it shows
using access basic to parse the name as well as to fill the list
box.
Change: If you dont like the options for how to address you can
change it or enter your own.

Then you pick whether you want to send the report right to the
printer or if you want to preview it, and you also can click on
CUSTOMIZE which will let you customize the text for that
particular letter. The customize screen also has a check box in
case you want to save the changes as the default letter.

Thats it. Standard disclaimer, you try it, you are responsible
for everything, I am responsible for nothing. It is pretty
straight forward, and it is rough, I dont have the time to go in
and pretty it up. Please let me know what you think and if you
find it useful. I would certainly like to hear suggestions too.

Thanks.
