Read Me file for CD player import system 9/19/1995

This MS Access 2.0 database is designed for cataloging your
CD collection using the play list features of the Win95
CD Player program. The database contains a code module that
will import the information contained in Win95's
CDPLAYER.INI file into the database.

The code assumes that the CDPLAYER.INI file is located in
the WINDOWS directory (Setup's default). If the INI file is
located in a different directory then you will need to edit
the paths in the code module (use edit-replace).

The database already contains entries so that you can try
out the reports etc. When you import your own data the
existing data will be deleted.

To install simply copy the CDPLAYER.MDB and CDPLAYER.LDB
files to the directory where you keep your Access
databases.

To use the system follow these four steps:

1. Enter play lists for your CD's in the CD Player program.
(Disc menu, Edit Play List option)

2. Exit the CD Player.

3. Open the CDPLAYER database in Access.

4. Click the Import button on the Disc list form.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

DON'T MAKE CHANGES TO THE DATA IN THE DATABASE. Instead make
the changes in the CD Player play list and re-import.

DON'T PUT QUOTATION MARKS (") IN THE PLAY LISTS. They won't
show in the play list later anyway and, they'll mess up the
import.
