RESTRICT v1.16 (c) Copyright First Resource Ltd 1994, all rights reserved.

 BACKGROUND

Restrict runs as a background Windows application, and every minute uses
standard Netware calls to check the current users time restrictions. Netware
time restrictions are allocated in half-hour segments, so if the next segment
is found to be unavailable, restrict starts prompting the user at regular
intervals to this effect. Once the last five minutes are reached, restrict
automatically shuts down Windows and exist to DOS. No modal windows are used,
so the whole process should be completely automatic, although due to the way
the Windows shutdown function works, any open document will be prompted to be
saved before the shutdown completes.

 USAGE

Restrict can either be placed in the startup group, or appended to the load=
line in the WIN.INI file. Restrict will not generate any errors if the Netware
shell is not resident, so should be fine for portables, and machines that are
only connected to the network infrequently. Once in memory, restrict will not
appear on the task list (as it is a background application) although you will
be able to find its resources using something like heap walker etc.
