If your system is setup for remote mail communications, an additional
receipt option, Delivery, is available. Use this option if you want to

{ROLO}
Address Book
ConnectivEmail's Address Book can be a replacement for the old Rolodex
(R) cards just about everyone is familiar with. In your Address Book,
you can store your personal and business contact's names, addresses,
telephone numbers and free-form textual information. The Address Book
has powerful features that allow you to find the information you need
quickly, such as multi-field searching, full-text searching, sorting and
filtering.

In addition to your own personal Address Book, ConnectivEmail allows your
Systems Administrator to create "Group" Address Books. Group Address
Books are just like your personal Address Book, except they are designed
to be shared by multiple people at the same time. For example, you may
have a Firm Address Book that contains the names, addresses and telephone
numbers of everyone in your office.

When selected, you are presented with the first "card" in your Address
Book. To view a different card, use the PageUp or PageDown keys or
select the Find button to quickly locate a particular entry.

Button Description

List Select this button if you'd like to view your Address Book
data in a tabular, or list format. When selected, a listbox
window displays, where you can use the Up and Down arrow keys
to quickly move through the entries in your Address Book.

Find Choose this button to locate a particular card in your Address
Book. When selected, the Find dialogue displays, where you can
type in text you want to locate.

Two types of searches are available from the displayed
          dialogue: Indexed and Full-Text.

An indexed search is the faster of the two, since it uses the
current open index file to locate the specified text. If you
are currently sorted by Last Name, the Last Name index is
searched. If you are sorted by Company, the Company index is
          searched.

Full-Text searching starts at the current card location, and
checks each card for any instance of the specified text. It
does not matter which field the information is located, even
          the free-form textual notes.

Notes Each of your Address Book entries can contain a free-form text
note, where you can type anything you like. When selected,
an editor windows displays any current text, where you can make
          any desired changes.

Add Choose this button if you'd like to create a new Address Book
entry. You are prompted with a Yes/No confirmation dialogue
          when selected.

Delete Select this button to remove the current Address Book entry.
A Yes/No dialogue box displays to confirm your action.

Note that when you choose to delete an Address Book entry, the
record is merely marked for deletion, and the Status field
is updated to denote the record status. The record is
physically removed when your Systems Administrator runs the
          Pack Mailbox routine.

You can recall a deleted entry by choosing the Delete button
while a deleted entry displays. However, once your Systems
Administrator runs the Pack Mailboxes routine, the entry is
          deleted forever from the file.

Edit Choose this button to make changes to the currently displayed
entry. When selected, you are placed in the first editing
field, where you can type your changes. Note that while
editing an entry, some buttons are made unavailable until you
          save your changes.

Options Select this button to view additional choices available to
you while viewing your Address Book, such as Filtering,
          Export, etc.

Quit Choose this button to leave the Address Book and return to
          ConnectivEmail's Main Menu.

complete, the current entry is copied into the specified user's
          Address Book.

such as Lotus 123, dBase, etc., select this item. You can

Address Book information will be exported to the specified
          filename.

allows you to specify which entries appear in your Address
Book. For example, you might create a Filter that says:
"Show only those records where the City is 'Houston'" More
detailed help is available by pressing the F1 key while the
          Filter Dialogue displays.

can use this item to send a e-mail message to the displayed
entry. When selected, a menu of available e-mail carriers
displays, where you can choose the intended e-mail address.
See your Systems Administrator if you do not know if your
system is set up for remote e-mail communications.

Sort To re-order ConnectivEmail's Address Book, choose this option.
You are presented with a menu of available sort fields. Choose
the desired sort field, and your Address Book will be ordered
based on your selection. Any Find command using the current
index will use this sort order for locating text.

{ROLOFIND}
Search Address Book
Use ConnectivEmail's Find Button to quickly locate a particular record
in your Address Book file.

When selected you are presented with a data entry box, where you can
type the text you want to locate. You can choose between two different
sort types: Indexed and Full Text.

Current Index

Your Address Book always uses an open index file to quickly sort and
search records. This index is ordered in your choice of sort orders,
such as Last Name, First Name, Company, etc.

When you perform a search using the Current Index, you are telling
ConnectivEmail to search the index when locating a record. Therefore, if
your Address Book is currently sorted by Last Name, the Last Name index
will be searched for the text you type in the Find Dialogue.

To choose a different index to search, change your Sort Order by pressing
the <Alt>+<S> keys while viewing your Address Book data, or by choosing
the appropriate option from the Options menu.

Full Text

If you do not want to search the current open index for information in
your Address Book, you can tell ConnectivEmail to perform a "Full Text"
search by selecting this option.

A Full Text search differs from an indexed search in that it browses the
data in your Address Book sequentially. When a Full Text search is
performed, ConnectivEmail goes up to the top of the data, looks at each
record in the database, then searches all fields in the record for the
text you supply in the search field. Since the open index is not used
to locate the text, the text for which you are searching can be located
in any field.

Although significantly slower than indexed searching, Full Text searching
can be useful to locate information typed in the Notes field, or in
fields that cannot be used as a primary sort criteria.

{OTHERBOX}
Access Other Mailbox
When ConnectivEmail is started, your personal Mailbox is opened for use.
Messages, Address Books, Calendars and other information displayed are
yours by default.

If you have a need to access another user's information, the Other
Mailbox feature can be used. When a valid User ID and password is
supplied, you have access to this user's Mail and Telephone Inbox,
Address Book and Calendar. This can be quite handy for busy executives
who may not have time to answer e-mail or update their own calendar

messages where the recipient is familiar with how to contact you.

Formal Signature

Your Formal Signature should contain more detailed information about how
to reach you. For example, you should include your Full Name, Address,
and all e-mail addresses that can be used to reach you. You should
attach your Formal Signature to messages where the recipient is not
familiar with how to contact you.

{CHATU}
User-to-User Chat
Using ConnectivEmail's user-to-user Chat, you can hold a "real time"
conference with another user on your network.

When selected, you are presented with a listing of users on your
network. To begin, simply move the highlight bar to the user with which
you'd like to chat, then press the <Enter> key.

The user you select must be logged into the network, and in
ConnectivEmail in order to complete the connection. If the user is not
currently working in ConnectivEmail, you can have the Chat program
automatically send a line message to the user to notify him of your
intention to hold a personal chat.

When the connection between two users is complete, a window displays
where you type "live" to the other user. The other user sees your
keystrokes as you type them, and you see theirs as they are typed
as well. No other user, including a Supervisor, can see what you
are typing in this window.

{CALJOURNAL}
Calendar Journal Entry
ConnectivEmail's Calendar allows you to maintain a personal journal for
each day. This private text screen allows you to type free-form text
which can be retrieved or printed at any time.

Note that the text you type in your Journal is private. Users that
access your mailbox using the Other Mailbox feature cannot see
this information.

To begin, simply start typing. When you are finished, choose the Save
button to write your Journal to disk or choose the Quit button to ignore
any changes.

If you need to retrieve a Journal entry, simply go to the date you want
to retrieve, then choose the Journal item from the Calendar options menu.

Button Description

          main Calendar screen.

{ATTACH}
File Attachment(s)
ConnectivEmail's message editor allows you to attach external data files
to mail messages. For instance, you might attach a copy of a word
processing document or spreadsheet to a collegue for revisions. When the
revisions have been made, they may send the finished work back to you as
a message attachment.

Displayed is a listing of the files that are attached to the message in
progress. You can use the available functions to add new files to the
attachment list, remove files from the list, or view the files that are
already attached to the message.

Button Description

Add Choose this button to add a new file to the attachment list.
There is no limit to the number of files that can be attached
          to a message.

Delete Select this button to remove a file from the attachment list.

View Choose this button to view the highlighted file. If the file
is plain ASCII text, you will be able to review the data
in the file. If not, the file may appear as gibberish.

Quit Select this button to return to the message editor or Send
          dialogue box.

{ROLOFILTER}
Address Book Filter
ConnectivEmail's Filter feature allows you to specify which records appear
in the current Address Book file. For example, you may create a Filter
which says something like: "Display only those records where the city
is Houston."

All Address Book commands follow the Filter in effect. That is, if you
print a report or export your data to an external file, only those
records that match your Filter are printed or exported.

When selected, a listing of available database fields and a Filter editor
window displays. To begin, simply select a field you'd like to include
in the Filter command or type the name of the field directly into the
Filter editor window. Case is unimportant: Fields can be in either
upper or lower case text.

After you have decided which field(s) to include in the Filter, you need
to specify the qualifying text. For instance, the scenario above can
be described as: CITY = "Houston"

You can create a multi-field Filter by using the .AND. and/or .OR.
qualifier. For example, the following is a valid multi-field Filter:
CITY = "Houston" .AND. INDUSTRY = "Software". Note the use of the
periods to separate the commands. These are required.

NOTE: Creating complex Filters can degredate the performance of the
Address Book, or make it appear as if the Address Book contains no data.
Create a simpler Filter, erase the Filter in effect or leave the Address
Book and return to clear the Filter and display all records.

Button Description

Save Choose this button to put the current Filter in effect. When
selected, you are returned to the main Address Book screen, at
          the top of your data.

Quit Select this button to return to the Address Book screen without
          putting a Filter in effect.

you have made changes to the current event, or did not choose to notify
the specified users when the event was created.

Choose this option to select from several different Calendar print forms.
When selected, the Calendar Print Forms menu displays, where you can

{RULES}
Message Rule Editor
If you've purchased the optional ConnectivEmail Network Server, you can
make ConnectivEmail automatically perform specific actions against
particular messages. For example, if you go out of town and you'd like
all your incoming messages that have the word "Texaco" forwarded to a
coworker, this function is what you need to accomplish this task.

If your company did not purchase the optional ConnectivEmail Network
Server, Rules you create will be ignored. Please contact your Systems
Administrator if you do not know if your company purchased the Rules
Server.

When selected, you are presented with a listing of your existing Rules,
if any. You can use the available options to add new rules into your
Rules listing (each user can create up to 100 rules), delete rules,
change existing rules, or completely turn off your Rules.

Button Description

Enable If this button displays, selecting it will enable all rule
checking. If it does not display, your Rules are already
enabled, meaning your specified actions will be executed by
          the ConnectivEmail Network server.

Disable If this button displays, selecting it will disable all rule
checking. If it does not display, your Rules are already
disabled, meaning actions will not be taken against incoming
          messages.

Edit Select this button to make changes to the highlighted rule.
The Rule Editor window displays when selected.

Add Select this button to create a new Rule. The Rule Editor

          confirm your intention.

{RLISTENTRY}

a data entry box displays, where you can simply fill in the blanks to
create a new message Rule.

Field Description

Name Type a Rule ID.

Rules display in your Rules List in the order they are
executed by the ConnectivEmail Network Server. Change the
Rule's ID if you need it to be executed in a specific order.

Description Type a description of the Rule for your own reference. This
should briefly describe the rule's function. It is not
used by the ConnectivEmail Network Server.

When Type a valid WHEN clause, or press the <F5>=List key to
obtain a listing of valid WHEN clauses. ONLY those items
listed can be entered. Invalid WHEN clauses will be
ignored by the ConnectivEmail Network Server.

Contains Type the qualifier text. For example, if your WHEN clause
is "Message Text" and you type "Texaco" in this field, you
are creating a Rule that defines all messages that contain
the word "Texaco." Case is unimportant.

Action Type a valid ACTION clause, or press the <F5>=List key to
obtain a listing of valid ACTION clauses. ONLY those items
listed can be entered. Invalid ACTION clauses will be
ignored by the ConnectivEmail Network Server.

With Type the ACTION qualifier:

If your ACTION clause states "Send File", this needs to
specify WHICH file to send as an attachment to a message.
Remember that the file you send must be accessible from the
network, as the ConnectivEmail Network Server cannot grab a
file from your local hard disk or floppy drive when it is
             processing your rules.

When specifying REPLY as your ACTION clause, this needs
to identify a valid network-based ASCII text file to
send as your reply. The contents of this text file are
automatically sent as a reply by the ConnectivEmail Network
             Server.

When specifying FORWARD as your ACTION clause, this needs
to identify the Forwarding e-mail address in which to send
             the message.

If your ACTION clause states "Move to Folder", this needs
to specify the name of the Folder in which to move the
message. The Folder will be created if it does not exist.

When specifying PRINT as your ACTION clause, this needs to
specify the name of the Print Queue in which to print the
message. You cannot specify a local print device here,
as the ConnectivEmail Network Server can only access Network
             devices.
