ABOUT LATIN PRO v1.0:
Latin Pro is my 2nd 6 weeks Latin project for school. Anyone else who may
find this program useful is free to use and distribute it. Latin Pro v1.0
is freeware! It translates Latin words to English and English to Latin.
You can edit the database by adding or removing words.

LATIN PRO'S WINDOW SYSTEM:
If you have a mouse you can click on a button to choose it. If you have
clicked on a button that you don't want to choose and haven't released the
mouse button yet, you can drag the mouse pointer off the button and release
the mouse button. It will not be selected.
If you only have a keyboard, you can hold down CTRL and press the key of the
underlined letter on the button of your choice.

RUNNING LATIN PRO:
To run Latin Pro v1.0 switch that it's directory and type LATINPRO. You
will see two logo screens which you may skip by pressing any key when they
are displayed. When the main menu fades in you will be presented with the
About window. Click on OK.

THE MAIN MENU:

Latin - English
Latin Pro comes with a rather large database of words. To get the English
for a Latin word, click on Latin - English. Type the Latin word. Some Latin
words may contain the letters a,e,i,o, and u with a line over them. To
produce these characters hold down the alt key and press the appropriate
letter. Ex: alt + e. When you have entered your word click on OK, or hit
enter. Latin Pro will search the database and display the English word.

English - Latin
To translate an English word to Latin is just the same as above except that
you must click on the English - Latin button.

Dictionary
The Dictionary button is used to edit the database. It will be explained
in greater detail later in the document.

About
Click on the About button to get information about Latin Pro v1.0.

Quit
Click on quit to exit the program. A yes/no window will pop up asking if
you are sure if you want quit. Click on the button of your choice.

THE DICTIONARY:
Click on the Dictionary button the bring up the Dictionary window. To choose
between the Latin database and the English database, click on the Latin or
English button accordingly. To scroll the words click on the up and down
arrow buttons in between the scrolling windows or press the up and down
arrow keys. The top word in a separate box is the active word. Any action
on the database such as removing or adding words will take place here.

Removing words:
To remove a word scroll the words until the word you wish to remove is in
the active word box. Click on the Remove button.

Adding words:
The two white boxs with Word and Translation written above them are for
adding new words to the database. Whatever you type will go into the active
entry box. The active entry box has a purple box around it. To change the
active entry box hit the left or right arrow keys or click on the box.
Type the word you want to enter into the Word entry box. Then change to the
Translation entry box and type its translation. The procedure to enter words
with lines above them is the same as in the Latin - English and English -
Latin windows. Hold down alt and the appropriate key. When you have all the
information entered click on the Add button or press enter. New words only
go into the currently selected database. So if you just added a new word
into the Latin database, you must click on the English button to switch to
the English database and enter the English word and it's Latin translation.
They are separated like that just in case you want to put a word in one but
not in the other.

Closing Dictionary:
To close the Dictionary window click on the Done button.
