Space Station redesign configured on visualization software for the
Macintosh

Presenter Professional Visualization Software was recently used by a group
of industrial designers at John Frassanito & Associates, in conjunction
with NASA engineers, to redesign a Space Station, as well as provide
visual support for NASA presentations made to the President and the House
Science, Space and Technology Committee. The Macintosh-based Presenter
Professional features functions such as Digital Clay, Library, Grouping
and Quick Render to allow the user to efficiently make modifications,
check for design errors and produce high-resolution renderings during the
redesign strategy. The hardware includes a Macintosh IIce with a Daystar
Accelerator and YARC board. A specialized version of Presenter
Professional, called VISIxpress, that operates on a RISC board, was used
to quickly modify Space Station modifications.
