Epic MegaGames Acquires Safari Software

Rockville, Maryland -- April 1, 1994 -- Epic MegaGames, Inc. is proud to
announce its acquisition of Safari Software. Safari Software, originally
created as a shareware game developer and publisher, will serve as a
second tier, somewhat experimental forum for Epic programmers and
productions.

"Safari Software will serve as a venue for fun, high quality games that are
not as big or as dazzling as Epic Pinball and some of our other leading
titles," says Tim Sweeney, Epic's president. Tim also plans to use Safari
as an outlet for young, highly talented programmers. According to Robert
Allen, Safari's new creative director, "A lot of new programmers are
intimidated by Epic's name, releasing their games under the Safari name
puts them more at ease."

"Tim and I see Safari as an opportunity to release small, high quality
games as well as some more experimental titles. There are a lot of
innovative programmers that have terrific ideas. Safari will give them an
opportunity to test and perfect their new concepts." Robert hopes to have
Safari running smoothly and producing exciting, new, creative games within
the year. "We have the resources to make Safari a profitable and creative
venture and are excited by the possibilities," he proclaims.

Safari Software currently has two titles available. Jason Storm: Space
Chase is Safari's original title. It is a scrolling platform game similar
to Mario Brothers. Safari's other game, Heroes, is a combination puzzle
and platform game. The player controls between 3 and 7 superheros. Each
superhero has unique abilities and weaknesses that can help you win the
game, or cause you to lose. Line wars ll will be added to the collection
soon. The sequel offers multiplayer network support for this 3D
outer-space shoot-em-up game
