The C Users Journal Becomes C/C++ Users Journal

March 28, 1994 -- Lawrence, KS: The C Users Journal, the oldest and largest
C/C++ programming publication, is changing its name to C/C++ Users
Journal. The name change will take effect with the July 1994 issue.

"The magazine has always been reader-driven," notes Robert Ward, publisher
and founding editor. "The name change simply reflects a significant - and
long-term - move within our readership to add C++ (and C++ inspired
extensions to ANSI C) to their tool repertoire. Our readers are
sophisticated enough to recognize the power and utility of the
object-oriented features in C++, but pragmatic enough to know that many
applications are still best written in ANSI C. Thus, they use both. The
content of the magazine will not change. We've just changed the name to
reflect what we've been publishing over the past two years - advanced
solutions for C/C++ programmers."

C/C++ Users Journal currently reaches over 43,000 C/C++ developers
worldwide. The magazine provides articles on program design and
construction, developer tools, and tutorials.

R&D Publications also publishes Sys Admin, a bimonthly magazine for UNIX
systems administrators, Windows/ DOS Developer's Journal, a monthly
magazine for Windows programmers, and Network Administrator, a bimonthly
magazine for PC LAN administrators. R&D also operates R&D Technical
Books.
