Multimedia Industry Leaders Support ART TECO '94

Creative Labs, Apple, AT&T, Kaleida Labs Among Sponsors of 1st Annual
United Developers Summit & Exposition

ORINDA, CA--APRIL 12, 1994 -- Momentum is building for ART TECO '94, the
first annual United Developers Summit presented by Morph's Outpost on the
Digital Frontier, the technical publication for multimedia pioneers. The
three-day conference, taking place June 16,17, & 18 at Cyberlab 7, Fort
Mason Center, San Francisco, will bring together some of the biggest names
in the multimedia industry. ART TECO '94 will focus on the technical
aspects of multimedia development, and will feature seminars, panel
discussions, and hands-on interactive stations.

The discussion format of the event will resemble a television talk show,
with a moderator who will control the flow of the conversation and take
questions from the attendees. Attendees will be encouraged to challenge
the speakers on the issues at hand and engage in what should become
meaningful, if not heated, discussions about such topics as
"Cross-Platform Development and Delivery," "Choosing the Right Authoring
System," "Platforms and Installed Bases," and other issues facing the
multimedia developer.

Endorsement for the event from the multimedia industry has been steadily
growing, starting with Creative Labs as the Mega-Sponsor of ART TECO '94.
Super-Sponsors include Apple Multimedia Program and ON LINE Design, and
AT&T Network Systems, Altamira, Equilibrium, and Kaleida Labs are
Power-Sponsors.

"The (multimedia) industry has told us that it is ready for a new kind of
discussion format," said Doug Millison, editor-in-chief of Morph's
Outpost. "We are planning some intense, technical sessions that address
the state of interactive development, from platforms and standards to
tools and resources. Our readers know the issues and have definite ideas
on where the industry is headed. There will be no shameless self
promotion, no podiums, just three days of work and a couple of great
parties."

Confirmed participants to date include: Jack Harrington, AT&T; Joe
Fantuzzi, Autodesk; Scott Page, 7th Level; Arnold Waldstein, Creative
Labs; Dan Mapes, Cyberlab 7; Kent Ekberg, Tiburon Associates; Jim Myrick,
Big Top Productions; Bill Fulco, New Video Corporation; Ken Rose, Artists
for Multimedia; Michael Gosney, Verbum; David Kalish, Ceridus; Dave
Biedny; Jim Ludtke; and David Traub.

After hours entertainment includes the Spoonman Salon, featuring
cutting-edge interactive art and music, and the first annual "Golden
Lobes" will be given to the most innovative multimedia development tools.
"Temporary Ambient Zone ll," first presented by Morph's Outpost at
SIGGRAPH '93, will entertain attendees in a late-night multimedia music
extravaganza.

Exclusively targeted for the fastest-growing group of trade professionals,
Morph's Outpost on the Digital Frontier covers the technical news, tools,
and technologies crucial to the growth of multimedia. "Multimedia
developers are blazing a new trail," said Craig LaGrow, publisher. "Our
magazine provides them with the road maps and the tools to help them
develop an entirely new set of skills."

Morph's Outpost on the Digital Frontier provides in-depth technical tips
for creating multimedia titles and applications, and offers strategic and
tactical business advice to help multimedia professionals increase their
productivity and return-on-investment -- whether they be inhouse
developers, VARs, systems integrators, or independent title developers, or
any number of professionals converging on multimedia.
