Comedian Dennis Miller Goes Interactive; Joins With Sanctuary Woods To
Deliver Interactive Comedy Titles For 3DO

LAS VEGAS, January 6, 1994--Sanctuary Woods Multimedia Inc., a leading
developer of family-oriented entertainment and educational CD-ROM titles.
announced it has entered into an agreement with Miller/Pickering
Syndications to co-develop, publish and distribute interactive comedy
titles in collaboration with former Saturday Night Live comedian Dennis
Miller. Miller/Pickering Syndications is an interactive media development
company co-owned by Miller.

The first title developed under the agreement, a comical look at current
events titled "Dennis Miller That's News to Me ", will ship in January for
the Panasonic REAL 3DO Interactive Multiplayer system. Additional titles
from Sanctuary Woods for the 3DO system are expected later in 1994.

The announcements were made in conjunction with the Consumer Electronics
Show, being held here through January 9. "Dennis Miller That's News to Me"
will be on display at the 3DO (#10201) and Electronic Arts (#10000) booths
throughout the show.

The Miller/Pickering publishing agreement and product introductions launch
Sanctuary Woods' new I-laugh brand of interactive comedy products. I-laugh
titles, which target adult audiences ages 18 and up, encompass a wide
range of interactive entertainment products that use humor, instead of
action or adventure, as a theme to give CD-ROM users a whole new way to
experience comedy.

"Up until now, the interactive software market has been the domain of
adolescent boys. Sanctuary Woods wants to move beyond this focus to draw
adults, girls and younger children into the interactive media audience,"
said Scott Walchek, president of Sanctuary Woods. "Because comedy is a
successful linear media genre with wide appeal, it is a logical vehicle to
develop the 'grown-up' market for titles. And Dennis Miller, one of
America's favorite stand-up comedians, is the ideal partner to lead in
this new genre."

The Dennis Miller Series of l-laugh titles will combine CD-quality sound
with full-color digital video clips that feature Miller applying his
cynical, understated view of the world to different thematic situations.
Users interact by navigating through several topics to choose how they
want to be entertained.

"Dennis Miller That's News to Me ' is Miller's comical look at the
punchlines behind the news headlines of 1993. On the CD-ROM, he lambasts a
spectrum of topical events, from the lost Mars probe to President
Clinton's Cabinet appointments. This collector's interactive disk is
divided into four headings: politics, world events, sports and show
business. Users can skim through each topic a month at a time to view 144
digital video clips of, in Miller's words, "the historical carnage that
was 1993."

Sanctuary Woods chose 3DO as a delivery platform because of its mass market
and family appeal, easy navigation and advanced audiovisual capabilities.
The 3DO version of "Dennis Miller That's News to Me" features higher
fidelity audio and better quality, more lifelike digital video than the
MPC and Macintosh versions of the product, which will also ship in
January.

Price and Availability

"Dennis Miller That's News to Me" will ship in January for the 3DO system
for a suggested retail price of $39.95. "Dennis Miller That's News to Me"
and Sanctuary Woods' other 3DO software products are distributed in North
America by Electronic Arts and sold through computer retail and consumer
electronics stores.
