ARTISOFT INTRODUCES LANTASTIC NETWORK GOVERNMENT INTRO KIT

Provides Complete 10-Station Starter Package Specially Designed for the
Government Market

(TUCSON, AZ--April 11,1994)--Artisoft, Inc. announced today that it has
begun shipping a LANtastic Network Government Intro Kit, a complete 1
station network designed as a starter package for government offices. The
kit includes the LANtastic network operating system v6.0 software with
integrated E-mail, scheduling, faxing and paging capabilities; ArtiSave
Backup software; LANtastic for TCP/IP connectivity software; cabling; and
10 NodeRunner/SI 2000/A combination adapters. The kit is priced at $2169
for government users and will be sold to resellers involved in government
sales. This price represents a 33% discount over the price of the items in
the kit if purchased separately by a government user.

"We believe that Artisoft has many of the connectivity components available
to provide a one source, total networking solution specially tailored for
workgroups in the government market," said Artisoft's Vice President of
Sales and Support Joel A. Davis.

"Flexibility is key. If necessary, a workgroup can move its network, even
if the wiring scheme changes from twisted-pair to thin coax or vice versa.
In addition, the network's universal client technology allows a government
user to easily connect to server-based networks from Novell, Inc.,
Microsoft Corporation, and IBM Corporation," Davis added.

The LANtastic Network Government Intro Kit is available through Ingram
Micro, Inc.; Tech Data Corporation; Merisel, Inc.; and GSA Schedule B/C
catalogs.

The kit's LANtastic v6.0 network offers high-performance multiplatform
networking features key to the government market, which typically has a
heterogeneous networking environment. The recently released upgrade
represents the most significant enhancement of any previous version of the
LANtastic network operating system. An integrated communication system
includes advanced electronic mail, network scheduling, faxing and paging
systems. Also included in the new network version are improved network
performance and enhanced network management capabilities.

Kit users can also perform comprehensive backup and recovery of their
entire network through the ArtiSave Backup software. The kit's LANtastic
for TCP/IP connectivity software allows users on a LANtastic network to
access a wide range of systems throughout the network, including DEC/VAX,
Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems workstations, IBM mainframes, and NCR
and AT&T minicomputers.
