the newest releases of today's most popular word processing and
spreadsheet programs.
Although release 5.0 is easier to use than any of the previous version of
Excel learning how to use its many new features and functions can take
many hours. The Essential Guide: Excel 5.0 for Windows provides the ideal
solution by offering four benefits not found in other Excel books:

* it helps users upgrade or convert to Excel 5.0 in just
  a few hours
* it makes it easy for users to master the features that
  will help them the most
* it presents new Excel skills that can be learned in just
  10 or 15 minutes each
* it serves as a reference that allows users to brush up on
any feature in just a few minutes

And for PC users who are new to Windows, Chapter 1 of the book presents the
essential Windows skills needed for working with Excel 5.0 for Windows.

The Essential Guide: Excel 5.0 for Windows focuses on increasing any user's
productivity as quickly as possible by presenting the functions in most
chapters in a top-down sequence, starting with the functions that are most
useful, so users can quickly reach the level of proficiency they had with
the older version of their software.

Murach's Essential Guide series includes books on 1-2-3 for Windows Release
4, WordPerfect 6.0 (for DOS and for Windows), and Microsoft Word 6.0 for
