ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS LIMITED AND THE BOSTON SOFTWARE WORKS ANNOUNCE
PARTNERSHIP

ESL To Resell InterOFFICE Message Exchange to Provide Transparent
Connectivity and Interchange with Heterogeneous Messaging Systems

(Anaheim, CA; April 18, 1994)--Enterprise Solutions Limited (ESL),
provider of complete X.400/X.500 messaging solutions, announced today at
EMA '94, the Annual Conference and Expo of the Electronic Messaging
Association, an agreement with The Boston Software Works, Inc. (BSW) to
resell BSW's InterOFFICER Message Exchange products. The integration of
InterOFFICE with ESL's Enterprise Solutions Mail product line gives users
comprehensive interchange options with popular messaging, electronic mail,
and office automation systems.

Through this new partnership with Enterprise Solutions Limited, BSW expands
the 1988 X.400 access units in its InterOFFICE Message Exchange product
family to include Enterprise Solutions Mail. BSW's existing partners
include Tandem Computers; IBM; Sequent Computer Systems; Banyan Systems;
Hewlett-Packard Company (HP); and ISOCOR, for implementations on Tandem
Guardian, AIX/6000, DYNIX/ptx, Banyan VINES Enterprise Networks and ENS
for NetWare, HP-UX, and SCO UNIX platforms.

BSW's electronic messaging interconnectivity software, InterOFFICE Message
Exchange, transparently connects many popular electronic mail and office
automation systems, including Lotus cc:Mail, Microsoft Mail for DOS and
Windows, Banyan Intelligent Messaging, Novell MHS and Global MHS, CE
Software QuickMail and QuickMail MHS, UNIX mail, NeXTmail, HP OpenMail,
DEC ALL-IN-1, IBM OfficeVision/400, Tandem TRANSFER, Wang OFFICE, HP
DeskManager, IBM OfficeVision/VM (and PROFS), and MCI Mail. The 1988
X.400 access units, including those developed under the partnership with
ESL, provide connectivity for all the office and mail systems supported by
InterOFFICE.

With full X.400 on the desktop and a mixture of computer systems from
different suppliers, Enterprise Solutions Mail enables users to establish
a mixed heterogeneous environment. This isn't possible with proprietary
mail products. A native implementation of X.400 and X.500 gives companies
a truly "open" standard on which to build Mail-Enabled Applications such
as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Work Flow Operations.

According to Karl Klessig, president of ESL, "The integration of
InterOFFICE Message Exchange from The Boston Software Works with
Enterprise Solutions Mail further enhances our ability to offer customers
a total messaging solution. Both commercial users and government agencies
need a messaging system which can deliver, manage, and control the
information flow across the enterprise, and beyond. With InterOFFICE, ESL
users can send and receive information to and from users of remote,
foreign, and incompatible mail systems -- without having to learn new
commands or addressing formats."

Added Ross Gale, president of The Boston Software Works, "We are pleased to
expand the InterOFFICE product family to include support for Enterprise
Solutions Mail, the multiplatform family of 1984 and 1988 X.400 messaging
products from Enterprise Solutions, and to add ESL to the growing list of
development partners who also market and sell InterOFFICE Message Exchange
throughout the world."

InterOFFICE not only exchanges mail; it also transparently automates the
synchronization of directories, the registration of sender addresses, the
conversion of revisable documents, the conversion of meeting invitations
and other structured messages, and the translation of multinational
character sets.

Enterprise Solutions began shipping ENTERPRISE MAIL in the United States in
December 1991, with the first installations at major government agencies
and at selected corporate sites. One of the company's first customers in
the U.S. was Wal-Mart Stores, where ESL established an entire messaging
capability for the Home Office as well as for the movement of all
information to and from more than 2,300 stores, all its primary vendors,
and Wal-Mart's international operations.

ESL's product line consists of X.400 User Agents for multiple user
interfaces, remote user agents for non-connected users, full X.500
Directory Services, complete Mail Administration, a 1988 Multi-protocol
MTA, and a family of mail-enabled add-on products which extend and enhance
the Enterprise Solutions Mail X.400 product line.

The Boston Software Works, Inc., located in Boston, Massachusetts, is a
privately held software development firm, specializing in high-quality
messaging and office system integration and co-existence products.

InterOFFICE Message Exchange for Enterprise Solutions Mail will be
available in the third quarter of this year. Domestic pricing starts at
US $4,500 per messaging system access unit. Both ESL and BSW are
demonstrating their winning solutions here at EMA '94.
