To install the PCBoard search program for EMS Professional Shareware's
directories, try the following:

MD C:\EMS
COPY A:EMS.PPE C:\EMS\EMS.PPE

Install one of EMS's directory databases on your hard disk:
MD C:\EMS\VBASIC
CD\EMS\VBASIC
A:\UNZIP A:\*.ZIP      (you only need the *.db* files)

Run PCBSETUP. Select File Locations. Select CMD.LST. Add a new command
VBASIC with C:\EMS\EMS.PPE C:\EMS\VBASIC\VBASIC as the command line.
You can substitute CLPUTIL, NWUTIL, ACCESS, PASUTIL, etc. for VBASIC
to use other directories.

The program currently assumes that downloadable files for each
collection are in the \VBASIC, \CLPUTIL, \NWUTIL, etc. directories
on the same disk as the search program.

PPL source code is in EMS.PPS. If you make any improvements, please drop
us a line! Note that this is a very primitive "skeleton" for a full
application which we'd be happy to improve to your specifications. The
latest version will be on our BBS as EMSPPL.zip. Keep your old copy, the
ones we put on our BBS are ALWAYS Beta versions.
