Page 3 of 17 THE `PRESS H FOR HELP' MESSAGE

If you would rather not have the `Press h for help' message on the screen,
there are several ways that you can turn it off. One way is to use the P key
while in AcroSpin to toggle the message on and off.

A second way is to use the NOPRESS option when invoking AcroSpin. For example,
this tutorial displayed the jet by issuing the DOS command ACROSPIN JET. The
message would have been off initially if we had issued the command ACROSPIN JET
NOPRESS or ACROSPIN JET NOP (options can be abbreviated to the first three
characters). You could then use the P key to turn the message on if you
wished. Similarly, the NOHELP option can be used to entirely disable the help
information, which turns the message off and renders the H and P keys useless.

A third way to turn off the `Press h for help' message is to set the ACROSPIN
environment variable to the default options for the AcroSpin command, thus
saving you having to type the options every time you invoke AcroSpin. To do
this, when you are in DOS issue the command SET ACROSPIN=NOPRESS or SET
ACROSPIN=NOP. There must not be a space between ACROSPIN and the = sign.

The remaining objects in the tutorial will be invoked with the `Press h for
help' message off. The next object, a DNA subsequence courtesy of Doug Henry
of Molecular Design Ltd, will be invoked by the command ACROSPIN DNA NOP.
