This guide is written for the NetView operator. Read this guide if
you want to

o  Learn about NetWare products that support NetView network
   management

o  Learn more about the alert messages NetWare sends to NetView

o  Send commands to a NetWare server

o  Install NetView code points


CONTENT OVERVIEW

Chapter 1, "About NetWare Support for NetView," describes the
NetWare products that support NetView, introduces the new features
in Version 1.3 of these products, and describes the complete set
of NetView support features provided by these products.

Chapter 2, "Alert Message Descriptions," lists the alert messages
that NetWare servers can send to NetView. Each message appears with
a description of the alert's cause, a suggested action to take, and
the corresponding NetWare message that appears at the NetWare
server console.

Chapter 3, "Sending NetWare Commands," describes how to send
commands to NetWare servers. This chapter lists commands
alphabetically by command action and by server component and
provides a description of each command.

Appendix A, "Installing NetWare Code Point Messages for NetView,"
provides the procedure for installing NetWare code points for
NetView. This procedure may not be required for your installation.

<Words in brackets>   Bracketed words indicate names of keys or
                      variables. For example:

                      o  Press <Enter> to display the menu.

                      o  Enter LOAD CS CSNAME=<name>.

greater than (>)      When the greater than symbol precedes a
                      command,the symbol indicates that you must
                      enter the command from the DOS prompt. For
                      example:

                      >server

colon (:)             When a colon precedes a command, the colon
                      indicates that you must enter the command
                      from the system console prompt, which is a
                      colon. For example:

                      :load nvinstal

UPPERCASE             Words appearing in UPPERCASE are file or path
                      names. For example:

                      DISK1.EXE
 
 
Terminology

Note:            When this term precedes a paragraph, the paragraph
