Access Companion Disk Edition 1.0

The files take up 3.8 mb of hard disk space.

There are 4 applications on the disk. They each have individual target users
and one is designed as an information directory, the apps are as follows:

MSCMS - A *very* graphical, completely functional, contact manager and diary
management system designed entirely in Access and left 'open' so that users
can get behind the impressive forms and reports and learn 'how to' do some
extremely sophisticated development in Microsoft Access, we have even
incorporated a 'design tips' button which explains to users how the more
elaborate development was achieved - this application will appeal to
intermediate to advanced users of Access.

MSSWEETS - This is a database designed to handle the inventory control and
order processing of a small business such as a candy store. The application is
designed along the same lines as the shipping example 'Northwind traders' and
gives new or inexperienced users of Access additional forms, reports and
tables to view to learn more about database design in the product.

MSDIRECT - This is an on-line directory of MS Access add-on products,
consultants, trainers and books available in the U.S. This directory was
designed to be of use to *all* MS Access users.

MSFORMS - This is a database for forms and tables which range in varying
levels of complexity and would be of use to new or intermediate users of the
product. The forms were picked as being representative of the most common
'types' of forms used in an Access database application - An Invoice, Expenses
tracking, Telephone messages, Computer Asset tracking and Personal gift and
card tracking, all are open and all can be adapted to a users needs. - this
database was designed purely for use as a base template that users could
develop their own forms and reports from.

The sign on 'splash' screens for all 4 databases were designed to be
identical, except for the information explaining individual usage with hints
and tips.
