SYMPTOMS
=========

An Internal Consistency Error followed by a general protection (GP) fault
with the error message "GP Fault in Module Unknown" is the result under the
following conditions:

 - After editing a file in FoxPro, you click the close bar of the window
   and select the Close option. At this point, you will see the "Save
   changes" dialog box.

 - Then you click the upper-left corner of the "Save changes" dialog box
   and choose Close.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products
listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem
and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.

Steps to Reproduce Problem
--------------------------

1. In the FoxPro command window, type MODI COMM TEST and press ENTER.

2. Press the space bar. Make a change or alter the file in some way.

3. Click the Control Menu for the editing window, and choose the Close
   option.

4. When you get the "Do you want to save changes" dialog box, click the
   dialog box control menu, and choose the Close option.

At this point, FoxPro returns an Internal Consistency Error and GP fault.
