*** Standard Installation ***

FoxGL is provided in a compressed self-extracting executable.

1. Switch to the DOS command prompt.

2. Create an empty directory on your hard drive to store the uncompressed
files.

3. Extract the files to your hard drive.

For example: If the self extracting FoxGL executable is stored on a floppy
in drive A, make the newly created directory on your hard drive the
default. Then extract the files by typing a:foxgl.

4. To run the demo:

Start FoxPro for Windows
At the command window type: do foxgl.app

If you receive the message "File foxgl.app does not exist",
remember that you must enter the full path to the application.
For example, if you extracted the files to a directory on the C: drive
called foxgl, enter at the command window: do c:\foxgl\foxgl.app.

*** Requirements ***

This program requires Windows 3.1 or higher and FoxPro for Windows.

*** Documentation ***

All documentation, for the demo version of FoxGL is provided
online in the file foxgl.hlp.

*** List Of Files ***

The FoxGL Beta Demo package consists of the following files:

README.TXT - introductory information, you are now reading
FOXGL.EXE - self-extracting executable

*** Known Bugs ***

If you receive GPF's while using FoxGL you should keep WIN87EM.DLL
always loaded in memory. To do this, rename the file WIN87EM.DLL to
WIN87EM.EXE and place WIN87EM.EXE on the LOAD= line of the WIN.INI file.
This problem is discussed fully in Microsoft Product Support Notice Q120182.

2. You are unable to set the color of text annotations.

3. Screen flashing/redraw problems. You may experience screen
flashing or cases where objects such as bags don't appear until you
scroll or zoom the display.

4. Graphics library confusion. You may enter a state where the graphics toolbar
doesn't acknowledge a click. This usually occurs if you enter too many
clicks in rapid succession in the graphics area while FoxPro was processing
a previous click. This is most likely to happen if you have an older machine
like a 386.

5. Changing the node font may cause the text to disappear or lose alignment.

6. When you create a new node the title is not updated in the title field
on the attribute screen.

7. If FoxGL crashes, you should exit FoxPro completely since the FoxGL library
may not have been released properly.
