Before I go any further, I give thanks to Janet Richarfs of
the Microsoft forum for infomation on the X-Base type structures.

There are (2) files in this archive, 'dbfread.c' and 'dbfdata.c'
which were written on Sun Solaris 2.2 operating system. I have compiled
and run them on SCO Unix, so there should not be any problems going from
Unix to Unix.

I tried several programs written for Unix, but, to my dismay, they would not
work on Solaris..(You have to understand this operating system..) so after
asking around in the Foxbase forum, I came up with these programs.

The programs are in C and although I could have combined them. I chose not
to for the sake of other developers who wish to delve into conversion utilities.

As always, I am giving these programs free to you on an as is basis. I
cannot guarantee them but, if you have some special request, I will try to
help you out. The 'dbfdata.c' creates an Oracle Insert/Value statment for
insertion into Oracle. If you have other needs, modify the 'fprintf' state-
ments. !!!!Do not modify the 'fpfp' pointers as this may cause data coruption
in the output file!!!!..
