                                   SUMMARY

This demonstration program has been an attempt to introduce the powerful and
flexible DBEDIT function. We started with a call to DBEDIT() without using
any of its parameters and stepped through the parameters until we had a chance
to use all of them. Obviously, this is only the beginning! We can take
the UDF and add SEEK hot keys, context-sensitive help, more lookup tables,
and locking columns. I refer you to one or more of the excellent books by
Rick Spence, Steve Straley, and Art Fuller. Also see the Databased Advisor
and Compass for Clipper for lots of useful ideas in using Clipper to help the
average computer user gain control in managing their data.
