This ZIP file includes this file, README, and the following:

DBEGA.BIN a dBASE III+ or IV .bin file
DBEGA.ASM assembler source code of the .bin
DBEGA.ART a rework of an article explaining it.

You cannot make any use of the included .bin if you do not have
an EGA or VGA adapter. If you do have an EGA, the .bin will allow you
to remap any one or more of the 16 dBASE color codes, plus the border,
to any one of the 64 possible EGA colors. A VGA will act like an EGA,
but this program does not permit use of the full VGA range of 262,144
colors.

Please read the accompanying file DBEGA.ART to understand how
this works and how to use it.

As usual, this code is free, and you get what you pay for. No
warranty is made that it is merchantable or fit for any purpose, and
if it destroys your valuable data or hardware, too bad. On the other
hand, it will be appreciated if you do not distribute it without all
included files and the author's name and address, so bugs may be
reported and their fixes disseminated easily.
