MEMORY PROBLEMS
---------------
Because the games on this CD-ROM have three-dimensional graphics,
they also take up a fair amount of memory. If you should get an
Out of Memory error, or a warning that there is not enough memory
available to start the game, there are several things you can do:
1. Create a boot disk. To create a boot disk, format a blank floppy
diskette with the /s option. If your floppy is in drive a:, try
format a: /s
Then copy your autoexec.bat and config.sys files to the floppy.
If your boot drive is c:, it might look like this:
copy c:\autoexec.bat a:\autoexec.bat
copy c:\config.sys a:\config.sys
Once the files have been copied, edit the versions that are on
the floppy, and remove all unnecessary commands, drivers, etc.
Make sure to leave your CD-ROM drivers if you are going to try
using the Companion disc at the same time.
2. If you have DOS 6.0 or better, you might try using memmaker.
Memmaker is a great utility, but if you decide to use it, then
you should definately, Definately, DEFINATELY back-up your
autoexec.bat and config.sys somewhere safe.
3. Instead of using a boot disc, you could make a dual-boot
startup. DOS 6.0 is required to do this, but it is a fantastic
way to handle multiple startup configurations. Consult your DOS
manual for more information.

UNINSTALLING THE INTERFACE
--------------------------
The interface is never actually installed, since it runs
directly from the CD-ROM. However, if you install
DOOM to your hard drive, then a small configuration file is created
in the root directory of your boot drive (usually C:).
This file is named WBCONFIG.TXT, and is initially hidden to prevent
accidental deletion. If you wish to remove the file, you can easily
do so with the following DOS commands:
attrib -h c:\dconfig.txt
del c:\dconfig.txt
(please note that if your boot drive is a different letter than
"c:", that you must use it in place of the drive in the example
commands above.)
