================================================================ Title : ESCAPE.WAD Author : Mark Spaeth (Wayne Gretzky) Email Address : mspaeth@magnus.acs.ohio-state.edu Misc. Author Info : Double major in Electrical Engineering and Math at THE Ohio State University. ...yet I still had time to do this. Description : This wad is not for the Doom Newbie. Sizing out at 360k, I'd recommend a 486 and 8 megs and a fast video card to play it. Additional Credits to : Johndoe for telling me where to get 5.2gcc ================================================================ * Play Information * Episode and Level # : E2M1 (Preliminary) Single Player : Yes Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes (Not tested) Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes (Not tested) Difficulty Settings : Yes (Not tested) New Sounds : No New Graphics : No Demos Replaced : None (Maybe a lmp for the maze later) * Construction * Base : New level from scratch Build Time : One hell of a long time Editor(s) used : Deu5.1, Deu5.2, Deu5.2gcc, BSP1.1x for nodes Known Bugs : There are a few slowdowns due to massive #'s of two sided linedefs in several rooms (including the starting room, but how else can I get the floor to look cool?) Some players may find this impossible, but it's very playable. The sections of the game are rather delineated, so there are a few good save points. * Copyright / Permissions * Authors may NOT use this level as a base to build additional levels. Seriously... what are you going to add to it anyway? It's huge! You MAY distribute this WAD, provided you include this file, with no modifications. You may distribute this file in any electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include this file intact. (*************) If you enjoyed this wad, please at least send me e-mail saying so. I've put well over a hundred hours into this level (so far) so if you really like it, please consider sending me real mail, or even money (hey... I'm a broke college student - you can spare a few bucks for a huge wad like this!) to the following address (it'll get forwarded to me, wherever I am): Mark Spaeth 23834 Oak Lane North Olmsted, Ohio 44070-2841 If I get a decent response, I'll be making more wads. Possible scenarios are certain buildings on the OSU campus and the IBM facility in Charlotte NC. (*************) * Where to get this WAD * FTP sites: infant2.sbhs.indiana.edu, et al.
