There are many mags and txt files that show the proper way to grow,
excellent ganja. But here are the 5 most asked questions about growing
the funk... I hope this helps..

   1. For the average smoker, is it worth growing your own rather than paying
   current street prices?

The average indoor garden, perfected over several harvests, produces
quality smoke for a fraction of the street price. Price, however, is
the least of the would be growers concerns. Cultivation carries
penalties ranging from a mandatory year behind bars to life inprisonment.
Persons convicted in state courts often find themselves facing additional
federal charges and time. Many accused growers face forfeiture of their
homes and assets - whether they are convicted or not.
Simple possession carries far more lenient penalties in most states,
ranging from small fines and probation to short jail terms. Grow-store
mailing lists, license-plate checks in grow-store parking lots, high
electric bills, informants and heat-sensing devices have been used to
nab growers. Besides the legal risks, would-be growers must consider
their own temperament and abilities. It often takes several seasons
to produce the harvest of smokeable budz, and growing any plant r
      requires time, dedication and patience.

   2. How do you determine the sex of cannabis seedlings ?

Any seedling, regardless of size, can induced to flower and show sex
by providing it with 12 hours of total darkness a day for 2 weeks.
Female plants will produce teardrop shaped balls (calyxes) at the nodes b
between leaf and stem, each sprouting two white hairs (pistils). Males
will produce clusters of balls (Pollen Sacs) at the branch internodes.
Once the sex has been determined, the plants can be returned to the
vegetative cycle. The males should be seperated to prevent seeds from
      forming.

    3. How much light is needed in an indoor garden, and how long should the
lights be on each day ?

Generally, a garden requires around 2,000 lumens of light per square
foot. If a high-intensity-discharge (Hid) light is used (metal halide
or high-pressure sodium) roughly 10-20 watts will be needed per square
foot. Fluorescent lights are easier to obtain but less efficent, so use
      20-30 watts per square foot.
Plants in the following stage require 12 hours of uninterrupted
darkness each day. Giving them less than 12 hours will slow flower
production and reduce yield. Plants in the vegetative growth cycle
should have 18-24 hours of light for optimim growth.

    4. What kinds of fertilizers sould be used and how often should they be
      they be applied ?

Fertilizers supplement the nutrients found in the soil, which are
used up as the plant ages. Use commercial potting soil or mix your
own. One simple recipe is to blend equal parts of worm castings,
        dehydrated cow manure and perlite.
Fertilizers are rated with three numbers showing their ratio
of nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. During vegetative growth,
use fertilizer high in all three elements. Moderate ( Biweekly) use
of a well-balanced (20-20-20) fertilizer with micronutrients will
prevent or eliminate most deficiencies. Flowering plants will require
a fertilizer with high levels of potassium (15-30-15)

     5. Is indoor cultivation better than outdoor ??

It is always easier to grow plants in their natural setting than it
is to recreate Mother Nature indoors. Indoor gardening has the
advantage of being viable year-around, while outdoor harvests are
usually limited to one per year. Outdoor plants can also take longer
ripen , depending on the climate in your area. More importantly,
outdoor gardens risk detection by the cops-not to mention that other
        four-footed and two-footed predators.
Indoor detection is more difficult, generally requiring the use
of informants or observations of suspicious activity. You can play
it safe by watching for license-plate traces at grow stores and
never ordering supplies by mail. In terms of harvest quality , both
methods appear to produce extemely fine smoke, with growers being
        divided about which is best.
