Via del BabuinoOnce a deluxe warren of antique stores and art galleries, it has been taken over by fine boutiques, their storefronts graced with the names of famed Italian designers; all the greats dwell easily side by side. Giorgio Armani, who moved his haute couture shop here in the early 1980s, is at #102 (open TuesdayFriday 10 AM-7 PM, Monday 3:30-7:30 PM); his Emporio at #119 features men's wear at 3040 percent off U.S. prices. Kenzo's outré designs can be found at #124A, and Gente at #82 beckons a younger, affluent crowd with creations by Dolce & Gabbana and Romeo Gigli. If you don't come to buy, it's still a great area for gawking; some of the most fashionable Romans do their slumming here.
