Putting 3DML on the Web: ISP Request Form
By sending an email with the following message, you can request your Internet Service Provider to add the 3DML MIME type to your Web Server directly.
Flatland has drafted a sample message that you can send to your Internet Service Provider requesting the addition of the 3DML MIME type:
I am a subscriber to your ISP and use 3DML on my site. I would like to request that you include the 3DML MIME type on your servers to make it easier for me to publish 3DML material. The type is:model/vnd.flatland.3dml
The Apache group has added this MIME type to their standard source distribution. The 3DML MIME type has been registered with the IANA
(http://www.isi.edu/in-notes/iana/assignments/media-types/model/)
You will find more information about 3DML at www.flatland.com. 3DML is a new, easy-to-use markup language for creating 3D web pages. Please notify me and site@flatland.com when you add this new type.
Thanks!
We know this can be a confusing process, so if you have any questions, please email Flatland Help at help@flatland.com
Once your 3DML spot is up and running on your web site, let us know, and we'll add it to the growing 3Directory of 3DML spots all over the web.
