  AL FRANKEN - POLITICAL SATIRIST ? GEE, I DON’T THINK SO
  
   Last night, Nightline was the worst show I have seen from that group
   for as long as I can remember. The guest host was borrowed from
   Entertainment Tonight and, somehow, AL Franken was a part of the
   panel, introduced as a “Noted Political Satirist”. Funny, I thought he
   was an ex-writer from the all but defunct major yawn, SNL, or maybe
   the star of those wonderful movies that insure crowded movie theaters
   will never be the cause of an exit hazard during a fire. Perhaps in
   light of his book, he should have been introduced as “Noted political
   pimp, living off of the names of people he criticizes, now that he has
   no career”
   
   I think it’s actually a good fit, Al Franken is to political satire
   what Clinton is to the Presidency. Neither knows what they are talking
   about, neither draws much respect, and both look out of place in the
   midst of professionals. However, that shouldn’t come as a surprise to
   their respective fan clubs. National polls indicate that over 65% of
   the public believes the President and First lady really are as crooked
   as reported, however, their fans forgive them and will vote for them
   anyway. Huh ?
   
   I watched the hearings from the house and senate on the
   misappropriated FBI files. No sport in that. As Joe Biden put it, only
   469 of the files were actually misappropriated by the Clinton
   administration, and he thought there was a need to focus on the 8 that
   may have been listed in error. My favorite point was when nobody,
   including Livingstone, could specific ID who hired him. What a zoo. So
   the Secret Service was wrong, the FBI was wrong, the documents were
   wrong, and the poor Clintonites were once again being picked on by the
   naughty Republicans. The only thing worse than these feebs, are the
   Clinton voters who would still mimic the party line and vote for these
   disgusting individuals and not be embarrassed to admit it. On a
   comparative basis, I think Richard Nixon should be canonized as a
   Saint.
   
   So here’s the deal from the Right - 
   
   Clinton’s a crook.
   Hillary is a crook.
   Clinton has a corrupt administration.
   Clinton took money from a folding S&L.
   The Supreme Court is hiding Clinton to block a sex discrimination
   suit.
   Clinton’s admin took confidential FBI files.
   Hillary fired the White House travel office so her cronies could take
   over.
   Clinton tampered with the Arkansas banking and utility commissions.
   Clinton has sided with every losing International leader.
   Clinton signed a bill censoring the Internet.
   Clinton has all of us paying the highest taxes in the history of the
   US.
   Clinton’s gov cuts are BS and we actually we have the largest
   government in the history.
   If Quayle was dumb, Gore is dumber.
   The Rose law firm was described in “The Firm”.
   Clinton remains a person with no sense of Nationalism or loyalty to
   his country.
   Clinton has blocked welfare and social security reform.
   Clinton is soft on crime and high on defendants.
   
   
   And the deal from the left -
   
   Clinton is a bum, but look at the good he has done (quantify please)
   Like Dole is really old and out of touch with our generation - That
   would be high school students, over aged pot heads, and people that
   get headaches from thinking too much.
   MTV commentators gave Dole really bad marks
   
   Sounds like a toss up to me.
