        Software Publishers Announce Industry Meeting on Game Ratings

 US Newswire: Members of the interactive electronic game industry will      
 gather in Las Vegas at the Winter Consumer Electronics Show this month     
 to begin drafting a rating system for video and computer games.            
                                                                            
 The meeting will be held under the auspices of the Software Publishers     
 Association (SPA), the largest trade organization for personal computer    
 and video game software industry.  It will be held in conjunction with     
 the Consumer Electronics Show to facilitate participation by as many       
 companies and organizations as possible.                                   
                                                                            
 The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. on Jan.  8, in room N231 of the Las  
 Vegas Convention Center.  It is open to all interested parties, and as     
 many as 200 industry members are expected to attend.                       
                                                                            
 The Software Publishers Association is the principal trade association to  
 the PC software industry.  Its 1,100 members represent the leading         
 publishers in the business, consumer and education software markets.       
 Among its members are the leading producers of interactive PC and CD-ROM   
 based entertainment products.  The SPA has offices in Washington and       
 Paris.
