Tablature Mode The TabMode is working in Real Time now. There is no changing of MIDI notes any longer. You can activate TabMode in the "Staff Options"- or in the "Tablature..." Dialog; the last dialog allows you to "tune" the strings. These tuning is part of a track, this means, you can have different tunings for each track. There is also a setting to force displaying only note heads without rhythm and rests: "No Stems/ Rests". With the "Channel 1 - 6" checkbox you can force all notes on MIDI channel 1 to be displayed on string 1, all notes on MIDI channel 2 on string 2 and so on (only if possible; e.g. a e3 cannot be displayed on a string tuned on e4). This feature is made for MIDI guitar players: switch on MONO MODE on your guitar synth, set the out channel for the strings from channel 1 - 6, and all notes are displayed exactly on the string where you play them. With activated TabMode the pitches of notes are editable in the main score window like in other modes; however, the range of displayable note pitches is limited from "lowest string" to "highest string, fret 27". Pitches outside this limit are displayed as regular notes. Normally all notes are displayed on the highest possible string. The menu command "Move To String" (in "Staff" menu) lets you move notes to other strings than the default. There is a shortcut for switching between tablature mode and regular notation: choose the "Tablature..." menu while pressing . Michael
