  Decide is a powerful decision analysis tool used to draw decision
  trees using Windows 3.1 or greater.  

  Decide allows you to:

    1) Quickly and easily construct decision trees
    2) Work on multiple trees at once
    3) Copy tree images into other Windows applications
    4) Perform sensitivity analysis on your decisions

  This demo program has all of the features included in the regular 
  version, except you cannot save or print files.  You may, however,
  open the included "Bid.tre" file.  For those of you that ordered
  this demo copy direct from Software Inventions, Bid.tre is the 
  example tree covered in the manual.

  Installation:
    To install Decide, insert the Decide program disk into the proper disk 
    drive on your computer.  To install Decide using the program manager, 
    select the File/Run command and type in a:install or b:install (depending 
    on which drive the disk is in) and click on the "OK" button.  After the 
    installation program starts, simply follow the on-line installation 
    directions.  If desired, you may also launch the install program using 
    the file manager by first displaying the directory of the floppy drive 
    you are using, then double-clicking on the install.exe program.

   System Requirements
    To use Decide for your decision analysis needs, You must be using a 
    "386" or higher IBM (or compatible) computer running Windows version 3.1 
    or later and DOS 3.3 or later operating system.  Decide requires 
    approximately 1 mb of free disk space and at least 1 mb of free memory.

    SOFTWARE 
 
NOTICE TO END USER:  CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING LEGAL AGREEMENT.  THE 
OPENING OF THIS PACKAGE OR USE OF THE SOFTWARE PROVIDED WITH THIS AGREEMENT 
(THE "SOFTWARE") CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS.  IF YOU DO NOT 
AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, PROMPTLY RETURN THE SOFTWARE AND THE 
ACCOMPANYING ITEMS (INCLUDING WRITTEN MATERIALS AND CONTAINERS) TO THE 
LOCATION WHERE YOU OBTAINED THEM FOR A FULL REFUND. 


	1.	License Grant.  Software Inventions, Inc. grants to you (either as an 
individual or entity) a personal and non-exclusive right to use the copy of 
the object code version of the SOFTWARE provided with this license. The term 
of this agreement will be for the duration of Software Inventions Inc's 
copyright in the SOFTWARE.  You agree you will not copy the SOFTWARE except as 
necessary to use it on a single personal computer system at any one time, and 
to make one copy of the SOFTWARE in object code form solely for archival or 
backup purposes. You are permitted to store a copy of the SOFTWARE where 
access to it is shared by multiple computers, provided that you pay a full 
license fee for the maximum number of computers that concurrently use the 
SOFTWARE.  You agree that you may not copy the written materials accompanying 
the SOFTWARE.  You may assign your rights under this Agreement to a third 
party who agrees in writing to be bound by this Agreement prior to the 
assignment and provided that you transfer all copies of the SOFTWARE and 
related documentation to the third party or destroy any copies not 
transferred.  Except as set forth above, you may not assign your rights under 
this Agreement.

	2.	Limitations and Disclaimers.  The SOFTWARE is not licensed or intended 
for use in any nuclear, aviation, mass transit, utility, medical or other life 
support or inherently dangerous applications.  You acknowledge that you are 
solely responsible for taking all appropriate measures to ensure the safe use 
of the SOFTWARE if you use it for such purposes and do so entirely at your own 
risk.  Software Inventions, Inc. and its suppliers disclaim any warranty or 
liability for damages caused by such uses.  You acknowledge that the SOFTWARE 
may not satisfy all your requirements, and that the SOFTWARE may not be free 
from programming errors or other defects.  Software Inventions, Inc. does not 
guarantee or warrant that the SOFTWARE will operate properly in a multi-user 
environment.

	3.	Copyright.  You acknowledge that no title to the intellectual property 
in the SOFTWARE is transferred to you.  You further acknowledge that title and 
full ownership rights to the SOFTWARE will remain the exclusive property of 
Software Inventions, Inc. or its suppliers, and you will not acquire any 
rights to the SOFTWARE except as expressly set forth above.  You agree that 
any copies of the SOFTWARE will contain the same proprietary notices which 
appear on and in the SOFTWARE.

	4.	Termination.  This Agreement is effective until terminated.  The 
licenses granted under this Agreement will terminate immediately without 
notice from Software Inventions, Inc. if you fail to comply with any 
provisions of this Agreement.  Upon termination, you must destroy all copies 
of the Software and any accompanying written materials in your control or 
possession.

	5.	Reverse Engineering.  You agree that you will not cause, attempt, or 
permit the reverse engineering or decompiling, modification, translation, or 
disassembly of the SOFTWARE in whole or in part.  In jurisdictions where a 
right to reverse engineer is provided by law unless information is available 
about products in order to achieve interoperability, functional compatibility, 
or similar objectives, you must submit a detailed written proposal to Software 
Inventions, Inc. concerning your information needs before engaging in reverse 
engineering.  Software Inventions, Inc. may, in its sole discretion, propose 
terms and conditions under which it is willing to make such information 
available to you.

	6.	Limited Warranty.  Software Inventions, Inc. warrants that the SOFTWARE 
will perform substantially in accordance with the accompanying documentation 
and that the documentation and diskettes are free from any physical defects 
for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase ("Limited 
Warranty").  EXCEPT FOR THE FOREGOING LIMITED WARRANTY, SOFTWARE INVENTIONS, 
Inc. MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS TO THE FULLEST 
EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAWAND SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS THE WARRANTIES OF NON-
INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS, MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A 
PARTICULAR PURPOSE.  IF SUCH DISCLAIMER IS NOT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DURATION 
OF ANY SUCH IMPLIED WARRANTIES IS LIMITED TO 90 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF 
DELIVERY.  SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES 
OR LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY MAY LAST, OR THE EXCLUSION OR 
LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO SUCH LIMITATIONS OR 
EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.  THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL 
RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM JURISDICTION TO 
JURISDICTION.  This Limited Warranty is void if failure of the SOFTWARE has 
resulted from accident, abuse, or misapplication.  Any replacement SOFTWARE 
will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.

	7.	Customer Remedies.  Software Inventions, Inc's entire liability and your 
sole and exclusive remedy shall be, at Software Inventions, Inc's option, 
either to (a) correct the error, (b) help you work around or avoid the error 
or (c) refund to you your original license fee, so long as the SOFTWARE, 
documentation and diskettes are returned to Software Inventions, Inc. with a 
copy of your receipt.
	
	8.	Severability.  In the event of invalidity of any provision of this 
Agreement, the parties agree that such invalidity shall not affect the 
validity of the remaining portions of this Agreement.

	9.	No Liability for Consequential Damages; Dollar Limit.  IN NO EVENT SHALL 
SOFTWARE INVENTIONS, INC. OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY 
CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT 
OF THE USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SOFTWARE (INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOSS 
OF REVENUE OR PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, AND THE LIKE), 
EVEN IF SOFTWARE INVENTIONS, INC. HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH 
DAMAGES.  IN NO EVENT WILL SOFTWARE INVENTIONS, INC'S LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM, 
WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR ANY OTHER THEORY OF LIABILITY, EXCEED THE LICENSE 
FEE PAID BY YOU.

	10.	Export.  You agree that you will not export or re-export the SOFTWARE 
without the appropriate United States or foreign government licenses.

	11.	Governing Law.  This Agreement will be governed by the laws of the 
State of Alaska as they are applied to agreements between Alaska residents 
entered into and to be performed entirely within Alaska.  The United Nations 
Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is specifically 
disclaimed.

	12.	Entire Agreement.  This is the entire agreement between you and 
Software Inventions, Inc. which supersedes any prior agreement, whether 
written or oral, relating to the subject matter of this Agreement.


U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS
If this product is acquired under the terms of a: DoD contract: Use, 
duplication or disclosure by the Government is subject to restrictions as set 
forth in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of 252.227-7013 and restrictions set forth in 
the accompanying end user agreement.  Civilian agency contract: Use, 
reproduction or disclosure is subject to 52.227-19(a) through (d) and 
restrictions set forth in the accompanying end user agreement. Unpublished-
