Binkley Bug/FeatureRequest list ------------------------------- Extracted from SteVen's calculator, when he visited me last week. Some bug reports are new. ============================================================================ HoldOnUs didn't work in beta7. (Rolf Thieme, Karsten Ebeling) Something wrong with filerequest times (limit exceeded, which is not true). Same with number of files. Problems with the Tranx: 1) difference of 1,2 or 3 hours when other side is a ST. 2) if for example Tranx 2:240/36 is specified, the time will also be set if a point from this node calls you. Speed up filerequest (by searching all files at one time). Outbound window clears sometimes. Alexander bochmann said that the cursor sometimes disappeared. If you define folders with '.' it doesn't work. Solution: Truncate name or give warning. Only searches in fidouser.lst for sysop name. Wrong baudrate in batchfile when using BBS Batch. Function request didn't send the files back. Messages in the outbound window gets too big. Outbound window isn't updated after a call if aftermail isn't executed. Problems with Zmodem. Connect Fax recognition. Access through Midi. Extra comms port on MegaSTE and TT. Making it work better with Multitos and Mint. Popup windows should disappear after some time. Execute command window with more intelligence. Gem fileselector for sending files. Nodeselectorbox. Problem with sending mail from points to FD nodes (pressing ESC). ============================================================================ Note: the sources of BinkleyTerm 3.02ab7 are requestable from 245/96 with BT-SRC !GNADE and maybe other ST based nodes. If anyone makes modifications to the code, please send the changed modules to me or Paul Williams (2:255/400). I'll distribute new versions in the BT_BETA or AST-BINK echos. And SteVen will get back to sources if he rejoins Fido in 6 month. Now that I've got yer ear... ;) I have noticed that beta-7 and beta-8 will freeze on me for no apparent reason. I am running the board on a Mega4STE/50 with TOS 2.06, the hard drive is formatted using the ICD utilities, and I have MaxiFile and the Extensible Control Panel as my desk accessories. I also have SerialFix 1.1 and a mouse accelerator in my AUTO folder. The only thing that I can remember in common with all of the freezes is that it usually happened after a high speed user dialed into me (not a mailer). The way I can tell this has happened is that the system clock in the corner of the screen in the Bink screen doesn't match the actual time. Now, I can fix it by hitting the return key and that unfreezes Bink, but for all of that time, Bink has done nothing (it won't answer a phone, etc.). I had it happen once during ZMH and I'd rather it didn't happen during ZMH again (I haven't been tossed from the nodelist for it, but I'd rather not test that!). Sometimes, the MEMORY indicator in the Bink screen won't be present when it hangs. I've taken out all statements relating to Janus and I hope this fixes the problem. I haven't had it lock up since last night, so I'm crossing my fingers on this one... EMW -!- FIDOdoor+ 3.2.0 [IOSmail 0.89] ! Origin: SunFox's Realm BBS => AtariNet/FIDONet!
