Bobshow v1.0 (c) 1993-95 Rob Cooper. A BlobbySoft production! This program is Freeware, don't buy it. This is a Degas PC1 slideshow program with a difference. The pictures slide down the screen without any clashing of palettes. The program achieves this by switching the palette and copying a block of the screen at exactly the right time to avoid any miscolouration. It does all this plus it loads and depacks the next file simultaneously. I'm sure you'll agree it's rather nice. :-] Files packed with Pack Ice v2.4 are supported. PI1 pictures are not, but that shouldn't be a problem for you. :-] The program should work on all Ataris, including the Falcon. It always saves and restores the screen mode correctly. You may experience problems with NVDI v2.50 on the Falcon. Specifically, you will have to switch resolution manually. This is a fault with NVDI, not Bobshow. I don't know what happens when you run this program from the AUTO folder. It probably tries to read PC1 files from the root directory of the boot drive, but it may just crash! :-] The usual slideshow controls apply: Escape - Quit slideshow Space - Pause slideshow Return - Jump to the next picture F1-F10 - Sets the amount of time (in seconds) between each picture. This time includes the time taken for the new picture to be wiped onto the screen. Any comments or new ideas are welcome. My email address is Coops@arcade.demon.co.uk.
