From William Gibson's _Neuromancer_ to Walter Jon Williams'
_HardWired_ to Norman Spinrad's _Little Heroes_, the (perhaps
unfortunate) label of 'Cyberpunk' has been applied to a specific style
of science fiction.  This CyberPainting is set in such a heavily-armed
future, depicting an act of civic duty in the early 21st century.

This is cel-type animation created with CyberPaint 2.0 and Degas
Elite.  Individual limb movements were created by clipping and
rotating, re-sizing and re-drawing intermediate positions.  Much was
done manually (gun and arm positioning), some (head movements) by
merging seperatly made sequences.  Movement across the screen was
created with a simple ADO effect.  Gun and explosion effects were hand
drawn on the appropriate frames.
