DEMONSTRATION release of Edith Professional.  We
hope you  will  enjoy  examining  the  package. 
Especially as this  is the first  release, there
is the possibility that some of the features  do
not work properly.  In that case, contact us  by
mail, phone or write to  the author of Edith  by
electronic mail (internet: avg@cwi.nl).

EDITH is available NOW for any Atari system with
at least  1 megabyte  of on-board  memory, at  a
very affordable price of approximately 110 dutch
guilders (60 US  dollars) including 17.5%  Dutch
BTW (VAT) within the  EC. For countries  outside
the EC, the price  can be  slightly higher  (120
guilders) depending    on    the    method    of
payment. Versions for  other  operating  systems
such  as  X  windows  and  MS-Windows  will   be
presented in the future.


COPYING

This DEMONSTRATION  copy of  Edith  Professional
may be copied freely,   provided that all  files
are distributed,   and no  changes are  made  to
either the  files or  the structure  of the  ZOO
archive as a whole.

The shareware release  EDITH 1.0  is,  from  now
on,  free.

All  Edith  versions  V1.189  and  higher  are, 
unless explicitly  stated  otherwise,   strictly
personal,  and  any  copying  of  those  or  the
printed Edith user guide is illegal.

All   Edith   software, INSTALL.PRG, the   files
README.1ST and  the  on-line  manual  pages  are
