WHATSNEW.TXT: New SmilerShell Features SmilerShell/95 Version 1.3, released November 8, 1995 When the taskbar or desktop has the focus (in a Win95-style interface), SmilerShell's button goes to the taskbar's "tray" area, next to the clock Apps list icons are clearer. The small (16x16) icon is used when available. Icons also now display correctly under NT. DC dialog now shows the drives that DC knows about. It's on the top line, with the number of directories listed. Fixed bug: inactive/finished windows were occasionally being closed even if Inactives Stay Visible was set, and fullscreen/windowed flag was also ignored in some cases. Fixed bug: when edited in the Settings dialog, aliases with spaces embedded in filenames were being saved incorrectly Fixed bug: wasn't correctly setting the crosshairs cursor when setting a Button Exeception or Button Offset. Fixed bug: in some screen fonts, titlebar button was overlapping the standard minimize button. SmilerShell/95 Version 1.2, released September 9, 1995 Recompressed and redistributed essentially the same files as 1.1 to work around a bug in Winzip: it couldn't unzip SmilerShell/95 Minor changes to make it work a bit better under NT SmilerShell/95 Version 1.1, released August 24, 1995 Added the Sync With Explorer feature: when toggled on, as you change directory (with CD or DC) the first instance of Explorer changes with you. Added buttons to Apps dialog to move an app up or down the list Fixed bug: wasn't saving properly to file aliases where the replacement string was in quotes (was stripping the quotes at the next startup), for example a command with embedded spaces. SmilerShell/95 Version 1.0, released July 31, 1995 Initial release of this 32-bit version for Windows 95 or NT
