Thank you for downloading the evaluation copy of NetLoad.

I'll keep this README as brief as possible.

What is NetLoad?
----------------
NetLoad is a smart file transfer system which maintains remote
sites using convential FTP. It transfers new or updated files, and also recreates
your entire directory structure on the remote site.

The registered version also removes old files and directories from the remote site.

About this evaluation version
-----------------------------
THIS EVALUATION VERSION ONLY ALLOWS THE TRANSFER OF 3 FILES.

However, the entire directory structure will be created on the
remote site. Files and directories WILL NOT BE DELETED.

This will give you a good indication of the softwares features.

New Version 2.0b Features!
--------------------------

 * Smart mirroring of remote sites to your site. ie. FTP --> your PC/server
 * Right mouse click brings up file/directory options
   - ignore, delete, force upload, restore
 * improved FTP communications

Please note the firewall option has been removed pending bug fixes.

Times and Dates
---------------
NetLoad uses the time and date on your PC as a check against the time
on the remote site. This determines which files need refreshing due to
updates of the file.

The time on your PC must be set to the same time or earlier, than the time
on the remote FTP server.

Make sure your clock is set to the exact time or slighly earlier than the
time on the remote FTP server.

More complete details are online at the web site.

Starting NetLoad for the first time
-----------------------------------
To begin, click on the 'setup' tab and enter your FTP details.

 - FTPserver
 - Username
 - Password
 - port

NetLoad will remember all settings including screen position.
Your password and usename are encrypted when saved.

In the text edit window under the right hand window enter
your remote FTP sites directory.

eg.
	/myhome
	/web/docs
	/wesite/htdocs/aerosoft

Leaving this blank will download the listing of the entire remote site.

Click on 'change' under the left hand box and double click on the directory
on your local PC that you wish to uplaod to the remote site.

Using NetLoad
-------------
That's the setup out of the way.

There are just 3 simple steps to use NetLoad.

Press 'connect'
Press 'compare'
Press 'update'

If you get connection problems, try increasing the 'FTP command timeout' under the 'setup' tab
to a higher value. ie. 120 seconds instead of 60 seconds

Please email me if you have any bugs or comments.

Cheers,
Andrew McLean
