Microsoft Windows NT, Beta October 1992 Problem Running DOS/Windows Applications on Systems with Cirrus based Video Adapters The Microsoft Windows NT product group has recently identified an application interoperability problem with the October Beta release of Windows NT. On systems where a Cirrus based video adapter is installed, an NTVDM error may occur preventing execution of MS-DOS and Windows applications. NTVDM errors can occur due to other factors as well, however this fix is intended for those experiencing this problem with Cirrus chip sets. We have verified a fix to NTDETECT.COM and are making this available to our customers experiencing the problem today. Please follow the below instructions carefully to remedy this problem. If you continue to encounter similar problems, please let us know. Thank you for your continued beta testing efforts. ______________________________________________________________________ 1.
