Brief Description

WebSked produces schedules that are easily accessible, informative, and reduce the need for reams and reams of paper. WebSked creates hypertext style linked web pages based on the hierarchical structure of MS Project schedules.

- Schedules in both table and Gantt chart formats
- Individualized lists of tasks for each resource
- Color coded indicators representing progress on, ahead, or behind schedule
- Capability to convert multiple (up to 100) projects at a time
- Capability to save multiple configurations and settings
- Capability to customize many web page features

Cost: Free!

WebSked is freely distributable as per license agreement (see License agreement detailed in the WebSked.txt file)

WebSked was originally written as a 16 bit application for Windows 3.1 and has recently been ported to native Windows 95/NT format. Changes applied during the port included support for long file names and support of the 3D appearance of the application. (No changes to the OLE2 connection process have been made in this conversion; WebSked continues to support its original OLE2 methods.)

Installation

Variations:
   1. Upgrade Package
   2. Full Installation Package
      A. Single Executable File
      B. Single Zipped File
      C. Floppy Disks

1. If you've received an upgrade package, do not remove your current installation of WebSked. Instead, execute the WSupgrade file and unzip the files to your C:\Program Files\WebSked directory (or the current WebSked program directory) overwriting the existing files.

2. If you've received a full installation package (not an upgrade), remove any previous installations of DHPA or WebSked. WebSked Version 0.9 or later provides this capability through Win95's or WinNT 4.0's Control Panel. Simply click on Start, select Settings, and then select Control Panel. Within the Control Panel, double click on the "Add/Remove Programs" icon, and select WebSked from the list. Then click on the "Add/Remove" button, and follow the instructions to remove WebSked.

2.A. If you've received WebSked in the single WSsetup executable file, then execute this file and allow it to self-extract. When the file starts to self-extract, you'll be given the opportunity to change the destination directory (but do so only if you really need to). Just click on "Unzip" and the self-extracting file will place the installation program in the correct destination directory (defaulted to C:\Program Files\WebSked\temp). When the self-extraction is complete, click on the "Close" button. Go to the destination directory, run the Setup program and follow the instructions.

2.B. If you've received WebSked in the single WSsetup zipped file, then unzip this file to a temporary directory. Run the unzipped Setup program in this temporary directory and follow the instructions.

2.C. If you've received WebSked on floppy disks, just execute the Setup program on the first floppy disk and follow the instructions.

Notes:

1. The Setup program automatically loads the program and extracts all necessary files. A WebSked program icon is automatically placed on your Programs menu for your use.

2. Due to size restrictions, the file MSVBVM50.dll is not included in all packages. If you need this file to complete your installation, please obtain a copy from <http://www.microsoft.com> or try <http://www-rohan.sdsu.edu/~demuth>.
