To set alerts for a symbol, you add it to a special profile name ALERT, after lauching the Alert window, you can select a symbol and set various alarm settings, the values must be in float/integer format, to unset a value, enter -1. After you enter a value, you can press enter, or press the APPLY button to aplly the change. The alert window runs in its own thread, so you can continue to work with the main window.
