1. What is Wapapi?
--------------------

Wapapi is a development tool that lets your PowerBuilder or Delphi
programs become Web Servers. By using Wapapi, you can create a
dynamic web site, create dynamic web pages, and leverage your
other development tools by allowing web access.

This is a 32 bit Windows application for Win95 or Win NT that
requires that you have a web browser such as Netscape Navigator
  or Microsoft Internet Explorer.

The philosophy behind Wapapi was to make an extremely easy to use
product that would not take a long time to learn. I think that you
will find it easy to plug Wapapi into your applications, and you
won't have to worry about the low-level interface stuff.

2. Installation
----------------

Wapapi is distributed in a ZIP file. Unzip this file onto your
  hard drive:

  PKUNZIP Wapapi.ZIP

This program does not modify your registry or make any footprint
on your system outside of the directory you unzip it to.

To watch Wapapi in action, run the WapServe.EXE program. Then bring up
your web browser and point it to: HTTP://Localhost

3. More Examples
------------------

More examples, and sample code in PowerBuilder, Delphi, C, and
Visual Basic are available on-line at:

    http://www.wapapi.com

This is an evolving web site; we'll be posting new info weekly.

5. Registration
----------------

Wapapi is distributed as shareware. Feel free to play around with it
for 90 days free of charge. If you like it or use it in a production
application, you must register your copy.

  When you register:

  * You will be entitled to six months of free upgrades.

  * You can contact me for any support questions you might have. The best
way is to send Email to the address given below.

  * You will feel better. (maybe) Actually, I really believe this is true.

  * When my wife Stephanie sees registrations come in, she's more likely
to let me stay at my computer longer, and more cool features and
    examples will go into Wapapi!

So how do you get a registered version? Simple:

  METHOD 1:
Send $185.00 plus $5.00 shipping and handling (US and international
orders) along with name and mailing address to:

     Michael Gardner
     1231 Redwood Ct.
     Anchorage AK 99508

(We also accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express; please
include card number and expiration date if ordering with your
     credit card)
((From Europe we are sorry to say that we can not cash Eurocheques,
as banks here want to charge me $35 for handling.))

  METHOD 2:
Email. This is my favorite method of registration. By this method I
will simply email you the latest registered version. This has a couple
of advantages. First there is no shipping and handling cost. The entire
cost to you is $185. Second, I am assured that you have received the
product. (I am always concerned about the postal mail. You send a
check, I send a disk, I cash the check, you don't receive the disk.
     Yuck!)

To initiate this method all you need to do is send me an Email message
with the registration form attached to:

     mikeg@alaska.net

  METHOD 3:
Call Brown Bear Software at 907-278-1231 (This is in Alaska)

We make every effort to get all orders shipped as quickly as possible.
Oh! and I would like to hear any comments and suggestions that you
  might have.

  Thanks
