Known Limitations:

There are no known driver defects at this time.

This driver has been tested with Windows NT 3.5 Release Candidate build
756 and with Final Release build 807. Please notify #9 of any problems
you encounter with this driver.

The following system problems, application problems or driver limitations
have been observed during testing with Release Candidate build 756 and 807:

1. Windows NT with Large Fonts in Character Map: System or application
hangs when moving cursor over character map. WORKAROUND: Do not select
Large Fonts during Display Configuration.

2. Windows NT with Large Fonts at 640x480 resolutions. The Large Font
option at 640 resolutions results in dialog boxes that are larger than the
screen and may be difficult to use. WORKAROUND: Avoid selecting Large Fonts
for any 640 resolution.

3. Animated cursor fails as Default Refresh with resolution of 1280x1024x256
colors with some boards with customer bios. Customer Bios or board default
may be set to Interlaced mode which is not supported by the driver.
WORKAROUND: Disable the animated cursor.

4. If a default board or bios setting for a particular resolution is
Interlaced, then an unsupported display selection may result.
WORKAROUND: Always TEST the selected resolution before Restarting
Windows NT; observe the thin horizontal grey lines to insure that the level
of flicker is acceptable to the user's eye.

5. The 15bpp modes are available for selection within the Display Applet but
are not supported for the S3 bios. WORKAROUND: Always TEST the selected
resolution before Restarting Windows NT.

6. Windows NT 3.5 with Corel Draw Photo-Paint 5.0: A mask outline may
display diagonal lines instead of vertical lines. This is an application
problem.

7. Windows NT 3.5 with File Manager: Extra vertical outlines may appear
when scrolling to right in file list. Extra black bars may appear on left
side or in bottom scroll bar when resizing the window. This problem also
occurs with the VGA driver and appears to be an application problem.

8. Windows NT 3.5 with Marquee Screen Saver: When a message in a large font
is used at a slow speed, the text appears to blink or cycles from light to
dark.

9. Windows NT 3.5 Display Applet Test Screen: Resolution size is listed
as 1152x900 instead of 1152x864.

10. Windows NT 3.5 with Paintbrush: Four palette-selectable colors display
the wrong color with 8bpp modes.

11. Windows NT 3.5 with Paintbrush: Using Spray Can tool with dithered
color may produce dots of alternating colors instead of dots of dithered
colors in 8bpp modes.

12. Windows NT 3.5 with Paintbrush: Double clicking on Color Erase tool may
not erase selected object.

13. Windows NT 3.5 with DOS Prompt: Black line appears after returning from
DOS Editor when using a color background and the edit command was entered
from the lowest line of the screen or window.
