Ultra Big Screen Saver Pack #1 - Uploaded by the Author Scott Feeney
This ZIP file contains more than 40 screen savers I have written
for Microsoft Windows. They should work with Windows 3.x and
Windows 95 although most of them work best on faster computers.
They do not have password protection but do add a flashy look to
the screen. They were made with Visual Basic so you'll need
VBRUN300.DLL which is not included.
To set up and activate a screen saver:

Copy the .SCR file(s) to your Windows directory (eg. usually C:\WINDOWS).
Copy the SOUNDZ.VBX file to your Windows system directory (required for
the "Do the Peanut!" and "Bowling Ball" screen savers).
Start the Windows Control Panel.
Choose Desktop Options. In Windows 95 you have to choose the Screen Saver
tab.
From the list of screen savers choose whichever one you want.
Choose Settings to configure settings and/or view that screen saver's
About Box.
Choose Test or Preview to get a sneak peek at what the screen saver looks at.
Don't like it? Just try another one.
Once you've found one you like, change the activation time as you want. Then
choose OK.
If you make an oopsie and select a screen saver you didn't want, it's no
problem, just choose Cancel and then open Desktop Options again. (Or if you
remember what screen saver you used to have on just select that one again.)

A Common Problem & Answer
-------------------------
Problem: I copied all the .SCR files to my Windows directory, but they're
not in the list of screen savers.
Answer: Two things could cause this error to happen. If you copied the files
while the Desktop Options dialog box was still open, you have to close it and
open it again. The other problem, a problem which I myself encountered once,
could be that you have too many screen savers installed. If you have more
than about 100 .SCR files in your Windows directory Windows will only display
the first 100 that were installed. To solve this problem when it happened to
me I made a subdirectory within my Windows directory called OLD and moved
all the screen savers there except the one I was currently using. If you
do this and then want a different one back, just move it back to your
main Windows directory.

If you have other problems, you saw something I left out of this documentation
that was necessary, you had suggestions or comments, etc. and you have access
to E-mail contact me at scott_feeney@prodigy.com. Thanks and have fun with
the screen savers!
