Then select Options in the menu bar. Select Set Up Applications. Select Ask You to Specify An Application. Type the path and name of the program you'd like to install. Windows setup will copy the program's icon into the Application Group and set up the program to run from the icon. For example, to make an permanent icon for boxworld after copying it with VIEW you would type: c:\win3\games\boxworld\boxworld.exe into the "Specify An Application" box. 2) Start up File Manager, then locate the executable program (which usually ends in .EXE or .COM) you wish to install. Drag that program icon to your Applications program group inside your Program Manager window, then release the mouse button. The icon will now be in your Applications window, and the program can now be run from that icon. ============================================================================ Some applications require vbrun100.dll, vbrun200.dll, or vbrun300.dll. These files are provided in the the VBRUN\ directory of the CDROM. ============================================================================== WinView and View To make browsing the disc easier, we have included the program WinView for Windows, and the program VIEW for MSDOS on the CDROM. These programs allow you to page through index files, browse through directories on the CD, view documentation and uncompress/install the program(s) you want onto your hard disk. ========================================================================== Shareware This disk contains many shareware programs and images.
