WinRadio is a 32-bit Windows95/NT application that operates the Reveal
FM Radio card available at most computer outlets. The OEM software is
16-bit and supports DOS and Windows 3.1. It also runs satisfactory under
Windows 95, however it won't run under Windows NT. NT does not allow
direct I/O port access. All I/O operations are done through the OS
via device drivers.

Presently, Reveal does not support the radio card under NT, thus the need
for an NT Radio application. WinRadio is built using the latest
Windows 95 interface components. It has been testing using Windows 95,
NT 3.51 as well as NT 4.0 beta. WinRadio was developed in effort to
produce an application containing most all the features provided in
the OEM software. Due to the lack of support from Reveal, such as
releasing the Card specifications, WinRadio currently does not support
Station scanning. Hopefully this can be incorporated in the future.
I just need to obtain the information on how to read data from the card
vice sending data to the card. The feedback from the card remains a
mystery.

Current WinRadio features
---------------------------
* Full 32-bit Windows95/NT compatible application
* 10 preset station buttons
* Preset Scan function, cycles presets at 5 second interval
* Memory store, store favorite stations to preset buttons
* ToolTips- Tooltip popups for all controls
* Jump - jump directly to a specified radio station
* Interface looks like a car stereo
* Scan and Fine Scan controls
* Volume control
* Custom driver for us under Windows NT

Additional planned features
----------------------------
* Mini View - Will allow the user to switch to a miniture view of WinRadio.
                 Only the LED display and volume control would be visible.

* Tray Item? - I could do this now, however NT 3.51 or later users could not
                 use this until NT 4.0 commercial version ships. Would allow
                 WinRadio to become a tray item. Right clicking on the icon
                 would popup a menu of Power, Presets, and Volume control options.

* Station scan - will automatically scan to and stop on strong stations.
                 This will be incorporated as soon as I get the card
                 specificatons from Reveal.

* Volume gauge - Gas Gauge like control indicating current volume level
                 of Radio card. Need info from Reveal on how to read data from
                 card.

* On/Off Timer - Will be able to specify a time for the card to start playing
                 a specific radio station and what time it is to stop.

* Clock - depending on feedback, could have a frequency window change
                 to display current system time.

I developed WinRadio as a quick solution for NT users since it appears Reveal is not
going to be of any help. I would like to hear feedback from all users as to what
they like or dislike about WinRadio and what they would like to see in a future
version(s).

Be sure to read "Install.txt" prior to running WinRadio.
