Seminar/Conference Organizer is used to efficiently record details of attendees, registration and accommodation deposits, and event payments, and automate a number of common administration procedures including printing of registration letters, letters, labels, badges, and accommodation/attendees lists. Up to 12 accommodation sites and up to 12 events/places/times/costs can be catered for. It is available as a standalone application for a PC operating Windows 95/98 or for the Macintosh.
 
When you launch the program by opening "Seminar5.exe", the Menu screen opens. After reading Help, go to Setup screen before entering data in the database. For an explanation of all buttons, see below. In some cases, additional information can be found on layouts (screen views). Use the supplied buttons (many of which run scripts) to navigate and perform tasks.
Buttons:
Help: Goes to the Help screen.
Print: Prints the records in the Found Set in the current screen format.
Back: Returns to the previous screen.
Setup: Goes to the setup screen to enter data relevant to the organization, seminar, field names for attendees other information, accommodation and events. This data should not be changed after records are entered in the database.
Database: Goes to the database screen for recording attendees data.
Quit: Quits the application.
Delete All: This button, found at the bottom of the menu screen, should be used with care. It is not undoable. Use only for deleting all records prior to using Setup to prepare for a new Seminar.
Menu: Goes to the Menu screen.
Previous: Shows the previous record.
Next: Shows the next record.
Export: Exports data in the Found Set to a tab-delimited text file (Export.tab).
Sort A-Z: Sorts the Found Set A-Z, based on the Attendees Surname.
Sort: Found on the Attendees List screen, sorts the Found Set, based on the field/s you identify.
Find: Switches to the Find mode to choose a set of records to work with (see details on the Find screen). When you do a Find, your records are divided into two sets - a Found Set that matches the criteria you specified, and an Omitted Set. Summary data (in red) on the Database reflects totals of the Found Set. Similarly, all actions, such as exporting and printing labels/badges, and letters, work only with the Found Set.
Continue: Does the Find based on entered crtieria.
Find All: Combines all records into the Found Set.
Attendees List: Shows attendees data in list format.
Accommodation Report: Shows accommodation report sorted by venue with summary at the top. Option to print.
Labels/Badges: Options to print Attendees or Partners Name Badges or Blank Badges, or Labels (30 to a page) addressed to either the attendee or attendee and partner. Name Cards are best printed on a color printer. A splash bar at the bottom of the Attendees Name Badge shows the number booked in events.
Letter: Options to print single-page letters to attendee or attendee and partner, and registration confirmation letters with accommodation details or without accommodation details if you are not organizing accommodation.
New Record: Creates a new record.
Delete Record: Deletes the current record.

Seminar/Conference Organizer is Shareware. This software is copyrighted material and therefore you are not allowed to modify this software or its documentation in any way, shape or form, nor can you sell it for your own profit. This demonstration version may be distributed freely, but it must remain in its unmodified entirety.  It can be put on disks and CD-ROMs that charge a reasonable fee for the cost of distributing it, provided a copy of any such disks or CD-ROMs is forwarded to Norley Consulting Services. Contact me about the latest version so that only that version is distributed. In using this software, you understand and agree that this software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.  The entire risk as to the results and performance of using this software lies entirely with you, the user. The demonstration version will not print or export. This program can be customised for your Club, and additional functions can be added on request.
