What Is It?

The Team Sports Scheduling System (TSSS) is a powerful program that helps you quickly create schedules for your sports league. All you have to do is enter your league, team, and venue information, select the available times to play, and TSSS will take care of the rest. TSSS can handle as many teams and venues you have, multi-division leagues, cross division games, and much more. You have an unlimited amount of freedom selecting available times for venues, leagues, and teams.

Installation

To install the Team Sports Scheduling System, download the self-extracting, self-installing file from our web site at http://www.timsworld.com/ . Save the file to your download directory (or wherever you want), and double-click the tsssetup.exe file. Follow the directions on screen to install the software.

If you have downloaded the zip version of the archive, extract the tsssetup.exe file from the archive and double-click it. This is a self-extracting, self-installing file. Follow the direction on screen to install.

Note: We rely on the BrainTree Reg-O-Matic software to process credit card orders and to see how many people are trying out the program. The first time you run the Team Sports Scheduling System, you will be asked to enter your name, address, and telephone number. This information will only be used by TC Software to track how many people are trying the software. You will not be added to any mailing list. If you like, you can enter fake information in the required fields.

If you would like to receive e-mail updates when new versions or modules of the Team Sports Scheduling System become available, you can fill out the form on our web site at http://www.timsworld.com/products/tsss20/download.htm, or send a message to tsssupdates@timsworld.com with the word SUBSCRIBE in the subject. You don't need to join the e-mail list to find out if new versions are available - the Team Sports Scheduling System has a version checking feature built into it. To see if you have the latest version select the 'Check Version' option on the Register menu, or visit the update web page at http://www.timsworld.com/products/tsss20/update.htm.

Features

There are many new features in this version of the Team Sports Scheduling System. TSSS 2.0 inherits very little code from the original TSSS 1.0, which means TSSS 2.0 was a complete re-write. This was necessary to incorporate new technologies and features into the program, and to make the program more flexible and powerful. We took what we learned in version 1.0, greatly improved upon it, and came up with the following program. We think you will be impressed!

Smart, powerful, and flexible automatic schedule generation.
Unlimited amount of freedom selecting available time. Leagues, venues, and teams can all select their own available times for game play.
Game time duration from 1 minute to 23 hours, 59 minutes.
Built in multi-division support for leagues.
Wizard based data entry to walk you through every step in creating a league, venue, team, schedule or report.
Easily regenerate a schedule with the click of a button.
Support for multiple versions of the same schedule for presentation to the board and coaches.
Schedule teams at a home venue or pick from a pool of venues available for scheduling.
Prioritize venue usage on a team by team basis, and/or for an entire league.
Full support for manually creating schedules. Have TSSS generate the game list and schedule the games for you, or do it yourself.
Team and division standings support built in.
Contact management for leagues, teams, and venues.
Powerful, customizable print reports. These reports included schedules (master, league, division, team, and venue), standings (division and team), game lists (scheduled and unscheduled), and contact lists. Preview the reports on screen using Print Preview, your printer, or export reports in .TXT format for importing into your database or spreadsheet program. Also, publish reports on the Internet using the HTML export option.
View schedules on screen with the day view, or use the report view to quickly view only the information you want.
Customizable user interface.
Each league, team, and venue can have multiple contact individuals.

Known Issues

We have tried our best to make this version as bug-free as possible, but sometimes you run out of time. There are a couple items worth mentioning that you may run across while using this version.

If you create 2 or more season schedules during the same time span, using the same master schedule, and with the same teams playing in 2 or more season schedules, the scheduled games might conflict with one another. To work around this problem, don't create multiple season schedules during the same time span using the same teams. Instead, only create one season schedule and add extra game sets to it.
Scheduling a large number of games takes some time. We are currently optimizing the scheduling for better performance.

We will be working to resolve these issues and any others that come up. Naturally, an upgrade will be made freely available when these issues have been resolved.

Uninstalling

To uninstall the Team Sports Scheduling System, navigate to the TSSS program group created during installation, and click the Uninstall TSSS link. Follow the prompts to uninstall the program. Make sure TSSS isn't running before trying to uninstall.

Distribution

You may freely distribute an unlimited number of copies of this program in its original form to any legal place unless told otherwise by TC Software.

You are specifically prohibited from charging, or requesting donations, for any such copies, however made; and from distributing the software and/or documentation with other products (commercial or otherwise) without prior written permission, with one exception: Disk Vendors approved by the Association of Shareware Professionals are permitted to redistribute this Software without specific written permission.
