License Information

A single user license is available for 50 USD. The single user license is for use on any one computer at any one time. You must treat the UPDATE package as a book. It can be used by any number of people and freely moved from one computer to another, so long as there is no possibility of it being used at one location while it's being used at another. Just as a book cannot be read by two different persons at the same time.

A server license costs 350 USD and licenses UPDATE for use on any number of workstations connected to a single server that holds the archives and the executables. If you want to install archives on more than one server you have to purchase an additional license.

Anyone distributing the UPDATE package for any kind of remuneration must first contact Steen Varsted Software at update@svsoft.dk for authorization. This authorization will be automatically granted for distributors recognized by the ASP as adhering to its guidelines for shareware distributors, and such distributors may begin offering UPDATE immediately (However Steen Varsted Software must still be advised so that the distributor can be kept up-to-date with the latest version of UPDATE.). The attached VENDINFO data record (see VENDINFO.DIZ) is hereby incorporated by reference. Any distribution satisfying all the distribution requirements expressed in that data record is hereby authorized.

Steen Varsted Software is a member of the Association of Shareware Professionals (ASP). ASP wants to make sure that the shareware principle works for you.
